    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

A stinging effort by Renato Sanches from distance for Portugal but it is straight at Predrag Rajkovic.

Aleksandar Mitrovic hasn't really got involved yet for Serbia, but still plenty of time to have an impact.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Jason Knight replaces Adam Idah, who has precious little service this half.

  3. CLOSE!published at 21:04 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

A dangerous cross from the left is just out of Dusan Vlahovic's reach as Serbia keep up the hunt for the second goal they need to secure automatic qualification for the World Cup.

Thirty minutes to go in this one.

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

Surprised Sweden haven't brought Zlatan Ibrahimovic on yet.

They need to win remember. Spain only need to draw to top the group.

  5. Postpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

We've had an hour. To be fair to both these sides, they have kept up a level of intensity for what is a dead rubber. It is pretty clear why neither were in the mix for actually qualifying from this group, though.

  6. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:03 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

Pablo Sarabia off. Alvaro Morata on.

Huge cheers from the home crowd.

Raul de Tomas is also replaced by Rodrigo. Is this Spain going for it?

  7. Postpublished at 20:59 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

Bernado Silva has picked up a knock and is limping a bit. Bruno Fernandes is sent on his way to warm up but Silva is trying to see if he can run it off.

  8. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:58 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Danel Sinani has the ball in the net and goal music is playing around the stadium but it won't count.

Shane Duffy was shoved in the back and fouled as the attack developed.

It took a while for the home players and fans to notice, but it's the right call. If it hadn't been ruled out, Duffy would have been on the warpath.

  9. Postpublished at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

Oh almost brilliant from Renato Sanches as the hosts break through the Serbia press and Sanches bursts forward. He gets into the box, evades a defender and then clips the ball towards the far corner.

Sasa Lukic gets back to clear but hits the ball against his keeper and it almost bounces into his own net!

  10. CLOSE!published at 20:57 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

    Spain suddenly look dangerous.

A corner is whipped in from the left and Raul de Tomas is there at the near post to flick the ball on.

Nobody is running in though and the ball harmlessly trickles wide.

  11. Postpublished at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Matt Doherty is wearing the number 10 shirt tonight. Not having that.

  12. Postpublished at 20:55 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Matt Doherty tries to impose himself on the game but his effort from range is always rising and continues to do so over the bar.

  13. Postpublished at 20:53 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

    Let off!

Ireland give the ball away and Gerson Rodrigues as just Gavin Bazunu to beat. He opts to go early with a curling shot that he puts too close to the Ireland keeper, who saves.

  14. Postpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

    Close!

Adam Idah does really well to steer a shot anywhere near the goal with his toe after he charges in front of Jeff Hendrick's cross. It skips just past the post.

  15. Postpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Spain 0-0 Sweden

    Another huge chance for Sweden.

Spain give the ball away at the back but Alexander Isak smashes his shot straight over.

Let off for Spain and Cesar Azpilicuta.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:50 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    Portugal 1-1 Serbia

    Serbia mean business.

Fulham's prolific striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is on for holding midfielder Nemanja Gudelj.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:47 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

    We go again.

Can Ireland sneak a pride-boosting winner? Can Sweden and Serbia snatch a spot in Qatar from Spain and Portugal? Am I the only one feeling depressed that someone born in 2004 is running midfield in a World Cup qualifier?

A clean sheet is fine for Spain. They'll top the group with a draw.

Can Sweden find a goal in the second half?

It has felt like a lot more than three shots on target in this game. With a place at the World Cup guaranteed for the winner both sides have shown plenty of attacking intent and created chances.

Very much feels in the balance and could go either way in the second half.

  20. Postpublished at 20:36 Greenwich Mean Time 14 November 2021

HT: Luxembourg 0-0 Republic of Ireland

Ireland have certainly had the better of the chances here. Ralph Schon has made a few decent diving stops.

But Gavin Bazunu did also have one very good save of his own to make, diving to his right to tip a deflected shot from range.
