That is a fantastic goal, there is nothing you can do about that. This is why Harry Kane is a superstar and one of the best - the finish is fantastic. He's on the angle and he has whipped it into the top corner. Brilliant.

The Palace players are arguing among themselves but there's nothing they could do about that.

    On Spurs' second goal

Brilliant again - good play from Gareth Bale. He starts the move and plays the ball out wide and then continues his run into the box.

Harry Kane pulls off Gary Cahill and Kane pulls off him beats him in the air and Bale reacts quickest. Bale is officially back.

    Harry Kane

    That escalated quickly.

Gareth Bale finds Matt Doherty on the right and the Irishman lays it back to Harry Kane, who just clips a wonderful first-time effort into the top corner from 20 yards.

I wonder if Son Heung-min is jealous Harry Kane is giving all his assists to Gareth Bale and not him anymore.

    Gareth Bale

    Gareth Bale again!

He starts the move and sprays it out Sergio Reguilon.

Reguilon crosses to Harry Kane at the back post and he heads across to Bale, who heads the ball home from close range.

I'm not happy with that substitution because you would really want to see Wilfried Zaha and Eberechi Eze on the pitch together. I would've sacrificed another player and left Eze on the pitch.

But Roy Hodgson knows what he's doing, he's the manager.

Since his first Premier League season (2012-13), only Olivier Giroud (32) has more headed goals in the competition than Christian Benteke (29).

Tim Sherwood: What was Sanchez doing so far back? He was playing Benteke onside, if he just stuck to the line then that would have been disallowed. Sanchez has some great performances but sometimes he really confuses me

Urghh. That all started with Winks giving away a totally unnecessary free kick out in the left....

    HT: Spurs 1-1 Crystal Palace

That was a very good first half. Tottenham were the better team, dominated but that's what Crystal Palace wanted. Spurs got an early lead with a good finish from Gareth Bale but then they sat back and you're thinking go and make it two or three.

They didn't and the last five or 10 minutes Palace were the better team and scored a really good goal. Heading is Christian Benteke's strength and he's six yards out with a free header so Jose Mourinho will be disappointed to concede a goal right on the stroke of half time.

Tottenham have just sat back - it's good play from Palace. It's a great ball in and you don't give Christian Benteke that kind of time and space six yards out. It's poor defending from Tottenham but it's a great header.

    Christian Benteke

Oh that's a lovely header and Crystal Palace are level.

Luka Milivojevic makes up for his error for Spurs' goal with a fine left-wing cross and Christian Benteke meets it with a bullet header which leaves Hugo Lloris no chance.

Since they got the goal Tottenham have kind of stepped back - instead of going getting a second and third. Or you could look at it the other way and that Palace have gone out on the front foot and started creating a few chances.

Jordan Ayew is fouled by Sergio Reguilon and this is a free-kick in crossing range. Set-pieces are Palace's best hope.
