    Fulham 0-0 Manchester City

It's very quickly become a classic City performance. They are dominating the ball, Fulham have dropped deeper and deeper and now Benjamin Mendy has a corner.

His delivery is cleared only as far as Ferran Torres on the edge of the box but he skies it.

Gabriel Jesus plays it over to John Stones, who waits for the run of Ferran Torres but he's overcooked the pass on the right.

RetroGirl: It would serve Pep right if Fulham nicked this. (Not that I am a sore Fantasy Football Manager or anything....)

    Fulham 0-0 Manchester City

Bernardo Silva lets the ball roll through him on the touchline, bringing Joao Cancelo into play before linking-up with him for a nice one-two.

It's then lifted over the top for Ferran Torres by Cancelo but he can't bring it down and get a shot away in the box.

    Fulham 0-0 Manchester City

Joao Cancelo gets in behind on the right again but he can't pick out Gabriel Jesus in the middle.

Alphonse Areola does well to gather it in.

  6. CLOSE!published at 18 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Manchester City

Joao Cancelo slides it through to Ferran Torres but his shot is saved at the near post! He was slightly reaching for it, Torres, and the angle was tight.

    Fulham 0-0 Manchester City

Ferran Torres, Joao Cancelo and John Stones were basically all playing as wide forwards then!

But Fulham are squeezing out the space for City and Torres is forced wide before he leaves Stones short with a lay-off.

Foden is like Pep's prized bottle of Rioja. Sat proudly on the shelf ready for a special day, but he never gets round to drinking it!

    Fulham 0-0 Manchester City

Ferran Torres wants a free-kick on the edge of the box after Gabriel Jesus did well to slide in and win the ball in midfield.

It's Ruben Loftus-Cheek who gets back to put Torres under pressure and he went down too easily. Nothing in it.

Gabriel Jesus tries to feed in Ferran Torres but he doesn't get the pass right. City retain possession but Benjamin Mendy can't link up with Jesus on the left.

    Fulham 0-0 Manchester City

Gabriel Jesus cuts inside off the left but is patient, laying it off to the right when the shot isn't on.

It's lifted back into Jesus in the middle, he nods it down to Sergio Aguero and he slides it in for Benjamin Mendy but the flag is up.

    Fulham 0-0 Manchester City

Fulham have started really brightly. They are moving the ball around with purpose and there's plenty of movement up front.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek wins a free-kick in the City half when he's fouled by Ruben Dias. Ademola Lookman is then almost slipped in but Aymeric Laporte recovers well.

As a City fan I'm a little worried that Pep is tinkering too much to try and keep Laporte happy

  15. 'It's a big disappointment'published at 20:05 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

    FT: Everton 1-2 Burnley

    Everton

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "We had a bad start, we made mistakes and were punished. After that it was difficult to get back in the game because we didn’t show the quality that was necessary.

"We scored a good goal but in the second half we weren’t clinical. It’s a big disappointment but we don’t have to give up. There are still 10 games in the Premier League and we have to fight until the end.

"It’s difficult to explain [our home record], but of course it’s not good enough. We’ve got a lot of points away and that’s a reason we’re still in the fight [for Europe], but we have to do better at home.

"We lost three points today. That doesn’t mean Burnley didn’t deserve to win – they played really well, better than us.

"I think physically we are good. We have important players out but we need to focus on the FA Cup."

City are very quickly into their stride. John Stones threads it through on the right, Ferran Torres leaves it but Joao Cancello won't quite get there.

Ivan Cavaleiro then plays a brilliant pass with the outside of his boot to set Ademola Lookman free in the box at the other end but as he checks inside and has a shot blocked, the whistle goes for offside.

Andre-Frank Anguissa manages to get a cross in from the right but it's blocked by Aymeric Laporte before Rodri pumps it away.

It looks like City could actually be playing with a front three. But who knows?!

  19. 'We are strong when we defend properly'published at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

    FT: Everton 1-2 Burnley

    Everton

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti, speaking to Sky Sports: "Big disappointment. We lost a great opportunity to climb the table. We made the same mistakes we have in games this season at home. We started poorly and were 2-0 down. We tried to get back into the game but it was not enough.

"It was a mistake. We tried to build up and were imbalanced. They were better and strong defensively. They won second balls. This is the reason for the defeat.

"We should have created more. We missed passes and crosses. We missed control and quality.

"He (Jordan Pickford) had the same problem he had before. He will have a check on Monday and we will see. It is not a big problem.

"When we try to play with quality we have difficulties. We are strong when we defend properly. It is clear at home we were not good enough. We are fantastic away. This season is like this. Next game is at home and we have to do better."
