Andre Gomes is the latest to have a pop for Everton but he pulls his low shot wide. All of these chances are from range or difficult angles. Burnley doing a really good job of containing.

Nev_77: 3 time champions league winner getting out classed by a bloke you’d meet down your local. This is why we love English football.

Yet again Everton embarrass themselves at home. Carlo needs to get tough - results are not good enough, passion and work rate are missing....

Chance for Iwobi. He has space in the box and the ball at his feet but can't find a way past the Burnley defence with his angled shot.

And chance for Coleman, who also sees a shot - this time from range - blocked behind for a corner.

MJBurt1: Burnley have been superb to a man in both attack and defence. Have a theory about the Sean’s Merry men. In order to produce some excitement in this miserable covid age, they play like drains occasionally just to keep things spicy. Fiendish!

McNeil has been superb today. He weaves his way past a couple of challenges and picks out Rodriguez in the box. The striker is forced to go wide, narrowing his target, and when the shot does come it is straight at Joao Virginia.

Burnley get a free-kick following a foul on McNeil by King. It's a long way out by Brady fancies it. Maybe a chip into the box would have been better, though, as he smashes his shot way over.

    Almost!

Lucas Digne's free-kick is flicked on by Michael Keane in the box but only in a way that sends the ball slightly behind Ben Godfrey.

  17. YELLOW CARDpublished at 19:04 Greenwich Mean Time 13 March 2021

Fifteen minutes to go at Goodison. Burnley are offering more in attack, which actually might suit the home side as they theoretically they could get space to counter.

Richarlison is sent flying by Tarkowski to end one of those potential breaks, meaning a booking for the Burnley defender.

The Clarets have been quiet in attack for much of the half but have suddenly burst into life.

From a corner, Mee's header hits the top of the bar and then, soon after, Vydra sees a shot saved by Joao Virginia after he found space in the box.

The game has opened right up.
