NUFC fans need to keep calm. Brucie will regroup in the international break and we'll accumulate the points we need.

Don't know why everyone is so gloomy about the Magpies, or barcodes as I like to call them. They are two points ahead of Fulham and have a game in hand. Fulham can't win either.

    Brighton 3-0 Newcastle

That was Pascal Gross' 21st Premier League assist for Brighton, at least 13 more than any other player at the club.

    Brighton 3-0 Newcastle

I know Newcastle have been really poor many times this season but getting smashed by a relegation rival feels a big moment to me.

Mark Cowan: Last game of the season, Fulham v Newcastle Utd. That guy William Shakespeare did the fixtures for this season.

    Brighton 3-0 Newcastle

That was Neal Maupay's first goal in 10 Premier League games. It's his 18th strike in England's top flight.

3-0 down, 35% possession and 2 shots all game. All these pundits saying Bruce is doing a great job, yet the fans are the delusional ones.

    Neal Maupay

    Deserved.

Neal Maupay scores a cushioned volley from 10 yards out from Pascal Gross' right-wing cross and it's game over now.

Gross far too easily beat a defender by going one way and then the other before finding Maupay.

I'd say that seems fair enough from Michael. Newcastle need Fulham to lose most of their games really if they're going to stay up.

Michael Smith: The only ones who can save Newcastle this season are Fulham.

Dr David: There is no reason to sack Bruce now. Nobody long term is going to come in now and the effect could give Fulham an impetus.

    Brighton 2-0 Newcastle

Brighton have a corner. Can they score a third? No. Lewis Dunk air-kicks the ball, I think Jonjo Shelvey got a touch first.

Josh Earl: As a United fan, I couldn't be happier for Welbeck! Was always a big fan of him and sad to see him leave. Had a lot of setbacks with injuries and it's nice to see him enjoying his football again.

The worry for Newcastle is that there aren’t any upcoming fixtures that you look at and think “yeah, they will get something from this.” Until they play Sheff Utd in the penultimate week of the season, every game looks like a probable loss.

Just looked at Newcastle's remaining fixtures - down, I think.

Newcastle bring on Jacob Murphy for Arsenal loanee Joe Willock. I'd like to tell you what Willock has done today but I can't remember anything.

Danny Welbeck gets the ball in a similar place to when he scored the goal. This time Javier Manquillo closes him down immediately.

A few seconds later and the same thing happens.

Danny Welbeck has scored three Premier League goals this season. That's his best campaign since 2017-18 when he bagged five for Arsenal.

Jonathan Brown: Ashley doesn't even need to sack Bruce. Just tell him to take a back seat and let Jones take over. Won't cost you a penny and might keep us up.

Rebecca: If Bruce isn’t sacked now he never will be.
