    Livingston v St Johnstone (14:00)

On days like these, we normally, we see footage of the players disembarking from the team bus at Hampden.

However, Livingston have dispensed with a bus altogether, with their squad all making their own individual way to Glasgow in cars.

The decision was made after a player had to self-isolate when declared a close contact of a colleague who tested positive for Covid-19 on the team bus.

Players are having an early lunch at their own stadium before driving west en masse.

Manager David Martindale has already suggested he'll be keeping a close eye on veteran defender Efe Ambrose.

  4. Will Livi do it again or can Saints make it a first?published at 12:08 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2021

    Livingston v St Johnstone (14:00)

St Johnstone hope to make it third time lucky after twice finishing runners-up, while Livingston aim to add to their only previous final appearance by emulating their 2004 triumph.

Livi had gone into administration a month before their meeting with Hibernian 17 years ago but goals from Derek Lilley and Jamie McAllister in a two-minute second-half spell ensured a momentous victory for Davie Hay's side.

Saints were beaten 1-0 by Celtic in 1969 and by 2-1 Rangers in 1998.

  5. Livi & Saints up for the cuppublished at 12:01 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2021

    Livingston v St Johnstone (14:00)

Good afternoon and welcome to our Scottish League Cup final coverage.

Two of the Premiership's less fashionable sides go head-to-head at Hampden with the first silverware of the season up for grabs.

There will be no fans at the national stadium, no victory parade or open-top bus for the winners in these troubled times but there are valuable medals up for grabs and such successes do not come along often for supporters of either club.

This is a huge occasion for Livingston and St Johnstone, so stick with us for the build-up and all of the action.
