It is also the first one Cardiff have scored in this fixture since Steven Caulker netted the only goal in a Premier League derby back in 2013.

Cardiff have drawn four blanks against Swansea since then, but Flint has put an end to that sequence.

I think Hourihane has been fantastic since he's come to the club with goals and energy.

Conor Hourihane is soldiering on for the moment, but substitute Korey Smith is being readied in case the Irishman is forced off.

That would be a real setback for Swansea given Hourihane's goal threat.

Another Will Vaulks long throw has Swansea worried, but this time Aden Flint nods well over at the near post.

There is more concern for the hosts, with Conor Hourihane getting some treatment.

It looked for a moment as though Swansea were settling into this game well, but Cardiff have seized the momentum after scoring from their first attack of any note.

Swansea are now having to defend with Cardiff growing in confidence.
