There's still hope for Newcastle. Burnley led Southampton 2-0 last weekend before losing 3-2. Another chance for the Clarets but Dwight McNeil cannot keep it down.

Chris Wood is causing all sorts of bother for the Newcastle defence. There is a lot of uncertainty between them and keeper Martin Dubravka when the ball is whipped into the box. Matej Vydra's speed is also keeping them on their toes.

As I write that, Dwight Gayle finds the back of the net but it won't count. Gayle is offside.

Who is going to step up for Newcastle?

Remember, they have Callum Wilson and Allan Saint-Maximin back on the bench after injury.

The way Newcastle are playing I suspect it won't be that long before one or both is introduced. There's been little threat from the visitors so far.

Burnley have looked dangerous from the start, and have been putting the Newcastle defence under pressure. Massive blow for Steve Bruce's side, who will have to step up their game now.

Chris Wood disappeared after crossing for Matej Vydra's goal. Turns out he'd fallen behind the advertising boards and was lifted to his feet by a team-mate. A fine assist.

That has been coming. How will Newcastle respond? They've yet to test the Burnley keeper.

Matej Vydra is getting himself into some decent positions. First he has a shot inside the box blocked following Johann Gudmundsson's clever pass and then he tries to set up Chris Wood.

At the other end, Sean Longstaff falls over after a cross-shot which lands on the the roof of the net.
