Down to 10 men after the sending-off of centre-back Richard Wood, the Millers are now behind.

Millwall's top scorer Jed Wallace bags his ninth goal of the campaign with a peach of a strike.

The forward smashes a rising shot into the roof of the net on the half-volley after the visitors allowed a corner to bounce in the box.

A big blow to Rotherham's survival hopes.

    League Two update

Cambridge's task has got a little easier at The Abbey.

They lead 1-0 and are now playing against 10-men with Liam Gibson sent off for Morecambe.

That's good news for them because Cheltenham now lead Tranmere 4-0 at Whaddon Road with Callum Wright continuing a fine afternoon for the Robins.

As it stands, none of the chasing pack are making any ground on the top two as Barrow equalise against Newport through Scott Quigley.

    Cardiff City 0-1 Nottingham Forest

Hour mark approaching in south Wales and Kieffer Moore denied a chance to level for Cardiff.

Lots of last-ditch blocks and tackles from the Forest defence as they clear their lines.

Moore lined up a shot, but there was a Forest leg in the way inside the box to prevent it testing Brice Samba.

  8. RED CARD (Wood)published at 16:17 British Summer Time 2 April 2021

    Millwall 0-0 Rotherham

What could be a big moment at The Den.

Rotherham defender Richard Wood is shown a straight red card for bringing down Jed Wallace, who was racing through on goal.

The Millers will have to play for over half an hour with 10 men, and his suspension could impact their bid for survival too.

    Preston 0-1 Norwich

The Canaries come close to doubling their lead.

It's that man Teemu Pukki, who lashes against the crossbar from a narrow angle.

It bounces just in front of the line before bobbling away to safety.

Finally we've got a goal. Hopefully they can get some more.

  11. Postpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 2 April 2021

    Watford 1-0 Sheff Wed

Struggling Sheffield Wednesday need some inspiration in the second half at Vicarage Road.

Without manager Darren Moore, who has tested positive for Covid-19, the Owls haven't had too many sights at goal.

Jordan Rhodes has three goals in as many games and has just failed to get on the end of a cross from Josh Windass.

Wednesday are six points from safety as things stand.

  12. goal

Is there life for Wycombe yet in the Championship?

Here's a start anyway as Fred Onyedinma scores his fourth goal of the season.

Joe Jacobson's corner almost produced a goal before the break but has done just after.

Swung onto the head of Onyedimna who makes no mistake from eight-yards out.

This is not the time of the season to slip out of form and Forest Green's promotion challenge is slipping.

No win in three for the Nailsworth side and they're now 2-0 down at Bradford thanks to Andy Cook.

Thankfully for them, of the sides around them, only Newport are ahead.

Derby double their lead after weathering a storm from Luton before half-time.

Fine strike from Shinnie into the corner which gets past a good effort from Simon Sluga, who had guessed the right way.

Philip Billing's goal still the difference between them.

Norwich are in fine form as they bid to secure an immediate return to the Premier League.

Daniel Farke's side are on track for a 10th win in 11 games, and are set to go 11 games unbeaten.

Hold on at Deepdale and they'll need a maximum of 11 points from their final seven games to secure a top-two finish.
