That's all from BBC Sport Scotland's live coverage of Israel against Scotland. But click above and you can now watch the highlights.

The general feeling is a bit downcast, despite fighting back from behind to get a draw away to Israel. It feels very much like two points dropped tonight.

But, a long way to go. Austria still have to play Israel twice who we know by now are no mugs, and Austria face a tough test too on Wednesday at home to Denmark.

Join us that evening where we'll take you through every kick of the ball as Scotland aim for their first win in the group at home to Faroe Islands.

Read Jamie Lyall's match report here, and keep an eye on the website for more post-match reaction from Tel Aviv.

Thanks for joining us, and have a good evening.

I feel it's an opportunity missed. If we got a winner, it would have been a huge three points. We are up against it. We are on the chase.

They have good players. They started manipulating us and they are a good side. I agree with Steve Clarke, we were slightly blunt.

  4. A reminder of the qualifying processpublished at 22:16 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    FT: Israel 1-1 Scotland

What do we need to do to qualify?

Scotland need to win the group to ensure automatic qualification.

Should they finish second, they will join nine other runners-up in the play-offs, plus the two best Nations League Group winners who haven't finished in the top two of their qualifying groups.

Scotland have already played in the Nations League, finishing second behind Czech Republic and ahead of Israel and Slovakia. Therefore, that route is no longer available to Scotland and only finishing in the top two of their World Cup qualifying group will do.

    How does the play-off work?

It appears the days of a normal home and away play-off tie have been consigned to the past.

The 12 teams reaching the play-offs go into three play-off paths. They would play a semi-final and a final, both over one leg with the home side drawn at random. The winners of the three finals win three golden tickets to the World Cup in Qatar.

These games are due to take place in March 2022.

  5. 'We asked the players to step up' - Clarkepublished at 22:13 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    FT: Israel 1-1 Scotland

Scotland manager Steve Clarke tells Sky Sports: 'We are disappointed. We didn't start well. We were disappointed to lose the goal before half-time but the players showed good character.

"It's another point on the road to where we want to go. There was time in the first half where it was too easy for the Israelis to get out. They caused us a few problems.

"It is what it is, we take a point and move on."

  6. 'Have to pick up points on Wednesday' - Clarkepublished at 22:06 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    FT: Israel 1-1 Scotland

Scotland manager Steve Clarke tells Sky Sports: "We asked the players to step up and show a bit of character and that's what they did so credit to the players.

"Two points from two games - lets see what happens later in the group. I can't foresee the future.

"Austria play Denmark on Wednesday so one of them will drop points. We play the Faroes at home and we have to pick up points."

  8. 'We have to beat Faroes' - Fraserpublished at 22:01 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

    FT: Israel 1-1 Scotland

Scotland goalscorer Ryan Fraser tells Sky Sport Scotland still have 'lots to play for' in their World Cup qualifying group.

He said: "It was a lot better in the second half. It took us a little while to get going in the first half but we dominated in the second half.

"We showed character. It could have got a lot worse at 1-0 and the gaffer got us out fighting in the second half.

"To come away with a point, there is still lots to play for. We have to win the Faroe Islands game."

  17. FULL-TIME Israel 1-1 Scotlandpublished at 21:38 British Summer Time 28 March 2021

The faces on both sides tell it all. A hard fought draw, but not one that really does either side any favours.

Dor Peretz gave Israel a first-half lead, but Ryan Fraser cancelled it out in the second half.

Scotland are unbeaten in the group but just two points from a possible six has put the pressure on them already.

Scotland have to get numbers back to defend, but they break on the counter attack.

Stephen O'Donnell switches play, the cross is headed into the path of Stuart Armstrong whose shot is blocked.

And that will be that, the last chance of the game.

A long throw-in from Stephen O'Donnell. It's headed away but Scotland fet back onto the ball.

Kenny McLean can't get his head onto the cross, and Andrew Robertson cracks the rebound off a defender.

From the corner kick the referee blows for a free-kick to Israel and the chance has gone.
