You have to say that’s a tap-in for Chilwell. He has to at least be hitting the target there and working Zack Steffen.

Ben Chilwell had so much time. I wondered if he would bring it down. Wonderful move. Ziyech came off into space, then played it wide. City can't deal with it at the moment. Chilwell doesn't quite get the control he wants.

It is a great move from Chelsea as Hakim Ziyech sprays the ball out wide for Reece James, who floats a cross tot the far post but Chilwell scuffs his first-time volley wide. He probably had time to take a touch there. A let off for Manchester City.

Things have settled down again with most of the play in midfield. It was this offside goal that sparked a good spell for Chelsea earlier.

This game’s only going to get harder for Chelsea. Anybody City bring on makes them better.

They should be thinking about getting on the front foot a little bit more.

Lovely run by Mason Mount as he drives forward before a last-ditch tackle on the edge of the box ends a promising moment for Chelsea.

Chelsea have enjoyed 65% possession in the opening quarter-of-an-hour but Manchester City are getting into their groove now as they work the ball forward.

There's a bit of concern for Chelsea that threatens to temper the bright start they have had. Thiago Silva is holding his back and looks in discomfort but he is able to continue. One to keep an eye on.

Cesar Azpilicueta was quite thankful to his goalkeeper there after giving the ball away in midfield.

He knows he’s going to be outpaced down that right-hand side. What a defender he is, but his legs are just starting to go a bit. City will be looking to exploit that.

Now Manchester City have their first chance as Gabriel Jesus leads a quick counter. He exchanges passes with Kevin de Bruyne on the left before having a go from distance. Well hit but straight at Kepa Arrizabalaga in the Chelsea goal.

Chelsea really sharp from the start, plenty of crisp passing and positive intent.

Fans are missed at every game but there is a genuinely surreal feeling to an FA Cup semi-final between two of the Premier League's superpowers being played in a virtually deserted Wembley.

Chelsea continue their bright start as Aymeric Laporte is forced into giving away a corner - it comes to nothing but the Blues keep up the pressure as Zack Steffen punches away a Reece James cross at his near post.

Hakim Ziyech knew [it would be disallowed]. He had a really good view of that. It looked offside by the naked eye.

Timo Werner is away down the left, he looks offside but the flag stays down. He gets to the edge of the box and squares for Hakim Ziyech, who puts the ball into the net but then the flag goes up and VAR confirms Werner was offside.

A couple of moments of loose passing in these early stages as N'Golo Kante hits a fairly routine pass out for a throw.

Caution is the key in these early stages rather than a high tempo start from either side.

An early touch for Zack Steffen in what is a massive game for the Manchester City goalkeeper. It's a routine pass back from his defence before he plays it out to a team-mate. City with the early possession.
