It's going to be difficult for Aberdeen to play the ball quickly on this surface. They're going to have to be very accurate with their passing

The on-loan St Gallen striker has his back to goal, but with only goalkeeper Sam Ramsbottom to beat, he fires wastefully wide from five yards on the turn.

    Dumbarton v Aberdeen (12:15)

Dumbarton manager Jim Duffy tells BBC Sportsound that they have to be careful with their players' fitness ahead of a gruelling schedule.

"We've got another three games next week, so we have to be sensible, but all the players are desperate to play and we've picked a team that we hope are capable of competing with Aberdeen," he says.

"We haven't had great results recently, but today the expectation is for Aberdeen to win the game, probably comfortably. From our point of view, we want to show people that we are a decent side and perhaps better than current results would show.

"It's an absolutely perfect day. We're looking forward to the game."

They've lost two in a row at home, both 1-0, their latest against Airdrieonians.

Aberdeen are fourth in the Premiership, but their form has been even worse, with the managerless side having won once in 10.

They are eight games without a win away from home, losing four.

Indeed, they have lost three in a row 1-0 away from home - the same scoreline as Dumbarton's last three home league defeats - and are without a goal in their last three.
