Joe Aribo does well to cut the ball back for Nathan Patterson to have a shot from the edge of the penalty box but the Rangers full-back scoops his first-time effort high over the top.

Rangers winger Ryan Kent goes for a dart into the Hibs penalty box but Ryan Porteous is alive to the dangers and calmly clears his lines.

Connor Goldson is up for a free kick but he gets the timing wrong, looping a header over the top. The Rangers defender then gets in a tangle with Paul Hanlon and aggressively slams the Hibs captain to the floor. There's a bit of scuffling but it's a classic case of 'handbags'.

The much-anticipated duel between Nathan Patterson and Josh Doig hasn't really materialised, with both teenagers quiet so far.

Most of Hibs play is coming down the right as they look to get Martin Boyle involved.

Hibs are emboldened as the half-time break approaches and some slack play from Borna Barisic allows Kevin Nisbet to cut into the penalty area from the right. However, his attempted pass to Christian Doidge is cut out by goalkeeper Allan McGregor.

From that questionable corner, Hibs win another.

The ball seems to be falling perfectly for Paul Hanlon but the Hibs skipper just doesn't attack it enough and he can't get anything on it from close range.

A corner is given, which looks rather generous since Allan McGregor didn't appear to get anything on it.

Much better from Hibs as they send Kevin Nisbet scurrying forward and the striker opts to hit it early, with his powerful shot whizzing just wide from around 25 yards.

Rangers are really beginning to boss the ball the now, with Hibs struggling to hold on to it for more than a few passes.
