  1. 'Cup game places to play for' - Gerrardpublished at 14:30 British Summer Time 11 April 2021

    Rangers v Hibernian (15:00)

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard is sure complacency won't be an issue and earlier this week sounded a gentle warning about keeping up standards before a huge cup game with Celtic next weekend.

"The one thing the players have been fantastic at this season is to remain focused, treat each game as it comes and stay in the now," he said.

“I don’t expect that to change. I think players have to play for their place in the cup game. The last thing they want to do is put in a poor or complacent individual performance for the team.

“If you do that, your place in the team could be in jeopardy when I come to pick a side for the cup game.

"We still have a lot of targets that individually and collectively we want to achieve in the league."

  2. Hibs enjoy away dayspublished at 14:27 British Summer Time 11 April 2021

    Rangers v Hibernian (15:00)

Only Rangers have won more games on the road than Hibs this season.

The Edinburgh side have picked up 10 away victories in the Premiership and need one more for a new club record.

Rangers' consistency levels have been outstanding. We know how they play. It's been built on a defensive solidity. Davis is key as well. It'll be interesting to see Roofe up with Morelos.

  4. Plenty of targets to keep Rangers on their toespublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 11 April 2021

    Rangers v Hibernian (15:00)

Manager Steven Gerrard will say his main ambition now is the Scottish Cup but an unbeaten league campaign is tantalisingly close for Rangers and will keep minds sharp for the run-in.

The champions have not lost at home domestically since Hamilton earned a shock 1-0 victory in March 2020.

This afternoon they are looking for a 17th straight Premiership win on their own patch and have conceded a measly two goals in the previous 16 victories.

  5. 'Up and at them' the way to go for Hibs?published at 14:19 British Summer Time 11 April 2021

Hibs' last game at Ibrox, they tried to get up and at Rangers, closing them down further up the pitch. I feel that's the best way to go against teams that will inevitably find their rhythm. If you park the bus, one way or another they'll find a goal.

  6. 'Kent's width an issue for Hibs' three defenders'published at 14:16 British Summer Time 11 April 2021

    Rangers v Hibernian (15:00)

    Ian Murray
Former Hibernian & Rangers defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

Going with three at the back is a big risk for Hibs with the width Ryan Kent brings for Rangers. The thing that makes it look like it'll be three is the two strikers, starting. If Rangers click in their 4-3-3 formation it could be a long afternoon for Hibs.

  7. 'Hibs have flexibility'published at 14:13 British Summer Time 11 April 2021

Hibs have flexibility, even within the team they've lined up with. I suspect it'll be a three at the back with Doidge and Nisbet up top. Jack Ross has a couple of ways he could play it.

  8. Marciano regains the gloves for Hibspublished at 14:08 British Summer Time 11 April 2021

    Rangers v Hibernian (15:00)

Hibernian stick with the same outfield 10 that started in Monday's away win at Queen of the South in the cup.

After his delayed return from international duty, goalkeeper Ofir Marciano goes straight back in between the sticks, with Matt Macey dropping to the bench after deputising in Dumfries. There is also a place among the subs for 16-year-old striker Ethan Laidlaw.

  9. Big guns back for Rangerspublished at 14:06 British Summer Time 11 April 2021

    Rangers v Hibernian (15:00)

Rangers are back along familiar lines after last weekend's Scottish Cup win over Cove Rangers.

Allan McGregor, Joe Aribo, Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos return after getting a rest.

Kemar Roofe is making his first league start 3 February following his double against League 1 Cove.
