So far Livingston have done, what Livingston so often do and they have made this an uncomfortable debut for Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass.

The visitors are in faces of their opponents, denying them space to play - and they have come up with the game's one real bit of quality to score.

Glass, who has lost his captain Joe Lewis to injury, will have to deliver some words of wisdom in his first half time team talk as he looks to find a way of turning this cup tie round.

Livingston lead thanks to a moment of magic from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas.

There hasn't been too much else to shout about.

Lewis Ferguson decides to have a crack from a long way out and the less said about that effort the better... Aberdeen have looked short of ideas.

The top-flight hosts are in cruise control here as finishes from Guy Melamed and Michael O'Halloran have them two up at the break.

Clyde have been camped in their own half almost of the game and can count themselves lucky to only be two down.

The home side will fancy a couple more goals after the break.

A brilliant delivery from Scott Tanser is only punched clear as far as Jamie McCart. The centre-back tries to steer the ball past a crowd of bodies but it's cleared off the line.

Again, Clyde cause their own problems as the home side dispossess them in their own half.

Guy Melamed then breaks down the left and plays a dangerous ball across goal that evades everyone.

Uh-oh, it looks like goalkeeper Joe Lewis can't go on after that earlier knock.

Gary Woods is ready to come on for what will be his first appearance for Aberdeen.

Aberdeen's Matty Kennedy scurries away down the left and his clever cross finds Fraser Hornby, who does well to steer a low shot on target from near the edge of the box.

It's heading for the bottom corner but Max Stryjek gets down swiftly to hold on.

You get the feeling there's a few more goals in this for St Johnstone.

This time, Scott Tanser meets a deep cross at the back post but Clyde keeper Matej Vajs eventually gets down to smother the header.

Concern for Aberdeen, with goalkeeper Joe Lewis getting treatment for what looks like a rib problem.

The captain is going to continue.

A well-worked corner routine from the hosts sees the ball break to Jamie McCart on the edge of the box, but he drags his effort wide of Matej Vajs' bottom-left corner.

Moments later, David Wotherspoon curls a free-kick over.

The home side are knocking at the door for a second.

Niall McGinn does well to win possession in the centre circle and drives on with purpose, with the Livingston defence stretched.

His pass to Jonny Hayes is not the best but the winger digs out a good, low cross, only for Connor McLennan to scuff it from a promising position.

Big chance for the hosts to double their advantage as again Clyde give the ball away easily before Scott Tanser feeds Guy Melamed, but the Saints striker lashes the ball wide of the top-right corner.

He'll be disappointed with that effort after opening the scoring.

Decent effort from Stevie May who tries to lift the ball over Matej Vajs after getting on the end of a long ball from Liam Craig, but the Clyde keeper is positioned well to gather it comfortably.

The Dons are trying to play out from the back but they are not making much progress, with Livingston closing down quickly as soon as the ball gets anywhere near halfway.
