    Fulham 0-0 Burnley

We're allowed to hug our relatives / friends soon again and Aleksandar Mitrovic has gone a bit early as he has his arms all around James Tarkowski - it's an easy decision to give Burnley a free-kick with the defender rugby tackled to the ground. The Clarets can't capitalise though.

Chris Wood is the only Burnley player to score more than three goals this season, so there is a big emphasis on him and you can see how influential he is for this Burnley side.

Marsden Mick: I was at Portsmouth in 08 with my grandson. A scorching day with a scorching Danny [Murphy] header !! We can do it again. C'mon you Whites.

  4. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Burnley

Ademola Lookman with a header for Fulham and it's just over the bar.

It came after the ball was recycled into the box following a superb sliding block from James Tarkowski had denied Lookman a shot at goal from the edge of the six-yard box.

    Brilliant defending.

Fulham are being very attacking-minded, Lemina will be the one sitting in and Anguissa is pushing on up alongside Mitrovic. It's a very attacking side.

  6. Postpublished at 11 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Burnley

Fulham are certainly good on the eye, spraying it around nicely and quickly, but, as has been the story of their season, faltering when they get near the opponent's goal.

Just the nine goals at Craven Cottage for them in the Premier League this season.

  7. 'No time for nerves'published at 20:08 British Summer Time 10 May 2021

    Fulham 0-0 Burnley

    Karen Carney
Former Arsenal winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

It's been a really good start to the game, both teams at it from the get go - a bright start from Fulham, there is no time for nerves tonight.

  8. Postpublished at 7 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Burnley

First shot of the game and it comes from the hosts as Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa has the ball on his left foot in a central position, just outside the box but he can't get enough whip on it and it's straight at Nick Pope in the Burnley goal.

You just want to get it done if you are Burnley and then you know you have your Premier League status for next season, which will have been Sean Dyche's objective at the start of the season.

  10. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Burnley

Fulham get into a good position down the left and Ademola Lookman pulls it back for Ivan Cavaleiro, who can't gather the ball but Lookman was offside so it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

  11. Postpublished at 2 mins

    Fulham 0-0 Burnley

It's a lovely sunny evening by the Thames at one of the most picturesque grounds in the country.

A real shame there's no-one in the stands as even a few thousand would make it a great atmosphere, but at least they'll be back soon. Will Fulham be down already though when fans return?

Neil in Preston: I really like Fulham for trying to play entertaining football but I think this is a miracle that won't happen.

Marcus: Fulham have seven loan players in their squad this season, including Joachim Andersen, who's been their on-field captain for a lot of the season. Maybe not having a core of players long-term contracted to the club has contributed to their inevitable relegation?

Jonathan: You've got to admire the positivity, but Hugo (19:41) is living in a dream world if he thinks this Fulham side can get out of trouble. They're as good as down already.

  16. 'Balance is out of kilter from many teams'published at 19:49 British Summer Time 10 May 2021

    Fulham v Burnley (20:00 BST)

    Burnley

Sean Dyche believes the absence of supporters from stadiums this season could explain why teams such as Burnley have fared better away from home than in previous campaigns.

Their last three wins have been on the road while they have collected as many points on their travels as they have at home this term, with 18 apiece.

“I think the balance is out of kilter from many teams. There must be something in the fan element, there’s got to be,” Dyche said.

“Before the lockdown, if you asked a normal supporter if their team had better home or away form they’d say better home form. Then there was a lockdown and it’s changed. Therefore, there must be something in fans being in stadiums.”

"The pressure is on," admitted Fulham manager Scott Parker earlier this week. "That pressure comes because of where we sit.

"They are going to need to be brave. Not just brave players but players in those moments who can be real clinical – not just about a finish or an attacking phase, I’m talking defensively as well.

“Players that can just live off one moment. That's this league and when you are Fulham and a Fulham player, that's the way this league is going to be.

“The experiences one has faced before can only be helpful and that's what we are definitely going to need. Bravery and a cool head with a laser focus that can execute.”

Hugo Ander Estrada: Message to all fellow Fulham fans - WE CAN DO THIS. Win tonight and the gap is 6 pts with 3 games to go. Beat the Saints and hope they lose to West Ham who HAVE to win and its a 3 point gap with 2 games left. Anything is possible, and this squad still believe. COYW.

    Loving the positivity Hugo.
