  1. Is tonight Mitrovic's night?published at 19:34 British Summer Time 10 May 2021

One of the major disappointments for Scott Parker this season will be the goals return from striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, who starts up front tonight.

Just three Premier League goals in 27 appearances for the big Serbia international, who has scored seven times for his country in 2020-21.

Now would be a good time for him to reproduce that form for his club side.

Daniel: If Fulham don't get relegated it'll be the greatest escape since The Shawshank Redemption. I can't see it, mind.

Anon: After so much hard work to come back to the Premier League, it'll be really sad to see Fulham go down. Come on Cottagers!

There's been a lot to dislike about the Premier League recently, but with the European Super League thankfully fading into oblivion, this is a nice story and it comes from Burnley.

Up to 3,500 spectators will be admitted for free for their final home game of the season against Liverpool on 19 May, with the club encouraging successful ticket holders to consider a donation to NHS Charities Together.

Chairman Alan Pace said: “This fixture is an opportunity to reward our loyal season ticket holders who have shown incredible support to the club throughout the pandemic.

“We have therefore decided to make tickets for this fixture free of charge. If supporters are able to, the club is encouraging successful applications in the ballot to consider making a donation to the NHS charities.”

  4. Fans to return to sport from 17 Maypublished at 19:21 British Summer Time 10 May 2021

Up to 10,000 fans will be permitted at outdoor sports venues in England from 17 May, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has confirmed.

That includes the final two rounds of Premier League matches this season, with stadiums set to open to home fans only at reduced capacity. The final two rounds of matches will be played on 18-19 May and 23 May.

"We'll unlock the turnstiles of our sports stadia subject to capacity limits," Johnson said on Monday.

All teams have a home game in either the penultimate or final round of matches. Premier League chief executive Richard Masters said: "It'll be brilliant to see fans back.

"They've been hugely missed and the Premier League hasn't been the same without them. Their presence will ensure a fantastic finale to the end of our season."

Up to 2,000 fans were allowed at a number of Premier League matches in December, the last time fans were in attendance at top-flight games, before the country was locked down again.

Fulham are a side whose time in the top flight is running out. Even a win here will only delay the inevitable.

Burnley know a point will make sure they're safe, but I am expecting them to get all three.

    Prediction: 0-2

If Fulham are going to produce another great escape, they may well need to get something from a trip to Old Trafford when they play Manchester United away.

A few thousand fans will be back for the last two matches of the season, will Fulham be fighting for survival on the final day of the season?

Fulham were 14 minutes from relegation in 2007-08 before Danny Murphy scored in a 1-0 final-day win at Portsmouth to keep them up. Fulham's goal difference was only three goals better than that of Reading, who were relegated

The optimistic Fulham supporters among you will be looking back to 2007-08 and hoping history can repeat itself.

Fulham, managed by Roy Hodgson (who had replaced the sacked Lawrie Sanchez in December) looked absolutely doomed - 19th, six points off safety and with a much worse goal difference with five matches left.

But four wins (including in all of their last three matches) kept them up on goal difference as Reading and Birmingham joined an utterly woeful Derby side (who only won once all season and their 11 points remains the worst in Premier League history) in the bottom three.

Fulham have four to play and need to win tonight and then gain at least two victories from their final three matches to have any chance of staying up.

If Scott Parker's side only draw this evening then they would not be doomed, but would need to win their last three games - and hope either Burnley or Southampton don't pick up any more points.

A Burnley victory at Craven Cottage would not only ensure their Premier League survival, but take them up to 14th - above Southampton, Brighton and Newcastle.

West Brom and Sheffield United will be playing Championship football next season.
