  1. Old Firm derby nextpublished at 18:06 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

That's all from another thrilling day in Scottish football.

Aberdeen have secured European football and Forfar are relegated from League 2, but there are still plenty of issues to be decided that are heading "to the wire" as Ross County boss John Hughes said earlier.

Of course, the weekend is not over and what a finale we have on Sunday with the final Old Firm derby of the season.

Rangers have already won the title, deposed Celtic are runners-up, but a game between the two Glasgow sides is never meaningless.

Can Steven Gerrard's side stay unbeaten in the league? Can Celtic win their first derby in five this season?

  4. Big decisions went against us - Martindalepublished at 17:52 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    FT: Livingston 1-2 Aberdeen

Livingston manager David Martindale tells BBC Scotland he is disappointed to see his side drop behind St Johnstone after defeat by Aberdeen.

"I spoke to the boys and I can't keep saying unlucky," he says..

"We've got to defend better as a unit. It comes down to moments in games of football. We had two good chances to score in the first half and didn't take them. We then give two sloppy goals away, it's terrible.

"I need to watch what I say, but there were some big decisions that went against us and I'm disappointed in that. There was a blatant handball that everybody could see that we didn't get.

"We've got to take responsibility for the two goals we've conceded, that's why we've lost the game, but I think we've done more than enough to take something from it.

"There's plenty to play for, but I'll be bitterly disappointed if we finish the season sixth."

  5. Complete team performance - Alexanderpublished at 17:49 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    FT: Motherwell 2-0 Kilmarnock

Motherwell manager Graham Alexander says he is delighted with the intensity and quality of his team's performance during their 2-0 victory over Kilmarnock.

"I'm delighted with the players today, they were excellent from minute one," he tells BBC Sportsound.

"They zipped the ball about, we caused them problems with our pace up front, it was a top-class performance and we thoroughly deserved the three points.

"The league position is safe, we’re out of the cup, but the intent from our team was spot on and it was a real good victory.

"We wanted a bit of response from last week, the disappointment of losing to Hibs, and we got that. A complete team performance."

  6. I knew I'd get a reaction from the players - Glasspublished at 17:48 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    FT: Livingston 1-2 Aberdeen

Aberdeen manager Stephen Glass tells BBC Scotland he was pleased with the way the players responded to their Scottish Cup exit.

"I didn't doubt I'd get a reaction from the players," he says. "They've been very good in training, but I'm just delighted they got the rewards that they deserved today."

On-loan St Johnstone striker Callum Hendry scored and, asked about a permanent move, Glass replies: "Callum Hendry's done really well, but he's a St Johnstone player, so I'm sure we'll cross that bridge when we come to it."

Midfielder Ryan Hedges scored on his return from long-term injured and Glass adds: "The club has missed him, the team has missed him, he's almost going to be like a new signing and I think it's important building for next year that we know how important he is."

  7. Changes had 'negative impact' - Goodwinpublished at 17:43 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

FT: St Mirren 1-2 Hamilton Academical

St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin tells BBC Scotland that he had one eye on next weekend's Scottish semi-final but says: "It was a really disappointing overall performance from us.

"I thought we were very flat. Obviously we made a few changes, but I didn't believe they would have the negative impact they did have. But we did go with a line-up with next week in mind.

"We gave a few an opportunity and I don't think a few boys took that opportunity.

"We could have nicked a point at the end, but I don't think we would have deserved that point."

  8. We got what we deserved - Wrightpublished at 17:41 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    FT: Motherwell 2-0 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock manager Tommy Wright says his side didn't deserve anything from their 2-0 defeat at Fir Park.

"Motherwell deserved to win the game," he tells BBC Sportsound.

"They started both halves better than us, particularly the second half – that’s a problem we’ve had since we’ve been here.

"We didn’t do enough over the 90 minutes, the players know that. There were too many mistakes, we didn’t pass well enough. We got what we deserved.

"We’ve put ourselves in a position where we’ve got to rely on other results, but the performance didn’t deserve three points today, so I’ve got no qualms about the result.

"Overall, it’s a disappointing day for us. Two wins won’t guarantee us it. We have to win the next match. We have to put ourselves in a position where we go to Hamilton on the final day with a chance of staying in the league."

  9. It'll go down to the wire - Hughespublished at 17:37 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

FT: Dundee United 0-2 Ross County

Ross County are out of the relegation play-off spot after beating Dundee United and manager John Hughes tells BBC Sportsound: "The shape, organisation and everything we worked on was very good.

"We nullified them. I’m delighted for the players. We could’ve felt sorry for ourselves with where we are, but we stood up to it and showed a real desire.

"It was great the way we saw the game out. That’s the demands we want at the club. It’ll go right down to the wire."

  10. 'It's never over' with Hamilton - Ricepublished at 17:28 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

FT: St Mirren 1-2 Hamilton Academical

Hamilton Academical head coach Brian Rice tells BBC Scotland: "It got a wee bit nervous towards the end, but overall I think we deserved to win. We played really well, we had chances and scored two goals. I thought the boys were fantastic.

"We spoke about starting fast and getting on the front foot and we did that. To come here and get three points is massive for us."

Rice is delighted his side have again shown the battling qualities that have saved them from relegation previously.

"I don't think it is ever over with Hamilton," he says. "People keep saying we're the great survivors - well, we've survived today.

"We've got a spring in our step tonight. I can't ask any more than I got today. They shouldn't be at Hamilton if they're not ready to fight and scrap every week."

  11. Play-off places go to final gamespublished at 17:25 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    Scottish League 2

The fourth tier heads into Tuesday's final fixtures with four sides still vying for promotion play-off places after today's head-to-heads.

Stirling's late equaliser against Stranraer keeps them a point ahead of the visitors, but Albion are the only side without a remaining game.

Edinburgh's win over Elgin puts them two ahead of Stirling and three clear of the visitors before their trip to Stranraer.

Elgin, who sit fourth ahead of Stranraer of goals scored, host champions Queen's Park.

    Another nailbiter is in store.

  12. Forfar relegation confirmedpublished at 17:20 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

    Scottish League 1

So many permutations and only thing has been decided in the third tier - Forfar are relegated.

A 2-1 defeat away to Peterhead was not enough to save the Angus side because of Clyde's win over Dumbarton.

The Bully Wee's head-to-head win takes them above Sons and out of the relegation play-off spot with one game left each. Dumbarton host Peterhead on Tuesday, with Clyde entertaining East Fife on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Montrose's shock win away to Falkirk has blown the promotion play-off spots wide open as they are now only two points behind their hosts ahead of entertaining champions Partick Thistle.

The Bairns are away to Airdrieonians side now needing a win to overtake second-top Cove after beating the Aberdeen side today.

Tuesday is going to be some night!

  15. All tense at the bottom of top flightpublished at 17:06 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

The relegation battle at the foot of the Premiership is all set up for a grandstand finish.

With two games remaining, Hamilton stay bottom despite their win over St Mirren but are now two points behind Kilmarnock, who drop into the relegation play-off spot after defeat by Motherwell.

Ross County's win away to Dundee United means they move above Kilmarnock and stay three clear of Accies.

Hamilton next face the two sides immediately above - away to County followed by Kilmarnock at home.

    What a finish in store.

  16. FULL-TIME Livingston 1-2 Aberdeenpublished at 16:55 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

It was a nervous finish, but Aberdeen secure a top-four finish and European football while Livingston drop to sixth on goal difference.

Callum Hendry's close-range tap in and Ryan Hedges' neat finish geve the away side the victory.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas' brilliant volley gave Livingston hope, but it isn't enough as David Martindale's men slump to their seventh defeat in 10 games.

  17. FULL-TIME Motherwell 2-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 16:54 British Summer Time 1 May 2021

That is not how Tommy Wright will have envisaged the second half going.

The first half wasn't a great spectacle, but a stalemate would have kept Kilmarnock out of the relegation play-off place.

However, Devante Cole's stunning strike broke the deadlock just after the break and really cranked up the pressure on the Ayrshire side, particularly with the knowledge that Hamilton and Ross County were both winning.

Stephen O'Donnell's late strike made sure of the points for the hosts as Kilmarnock fall to 11th place, just two points ahead of Hamilton at the bottom.

It's going to be a very tense finish.

After nine games without a win, Brian Rice's side are now just two points behind 11th-placed Kilmarnock and still within three of Ross County.

Ross Callachan gave them a first-half lead and David Moyo doubled the advantage after the break. Jamie McGrath pulled one back for the hosts, but Accies deservedly held firm.
