    St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin and team-mate Richard Tate were lauding the skills of Jamie McGrath in midweek after the midfielder was linked with Aberdeen.

    Indeed, Goodwin suggested that he would be an ideal signing for Celtic while Tate joked that he tells the Irishman he is "the best player in the world" and would have his pick of teams if he moves in the summer.

    Rested on the bench, he quickly made an impact as a substitute to give Hamilton a nervous finish with a fine finish.
