I never understand why Dyche gets the plaudits. His team are a throwback to Big Sam teams of the early 2000s. Agricultural hoof and hope football. The Premier League quality has improved massively over recent years with progressive and pressing football and coaches that offer more intelligence than the "get stuck in" mentality of Dyche. Even a number of the EFL teams are turning their back on it. Long may it continue.

Dwight McNeil tries to weave through the middle. He beats Kalvin Phillips but Luke Ayling gets a decent block in.

  13. GREAT SAVE!published at 55 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Leeds

    Huge chance for Burnley.

Matej Vydra holds off Diego Llorente, he touches it past Luke Ayling but one-on-one with Illan Meslier, he can't make the most of it.

It's a crucial save from Meslier with his outstretched leg.

  14. CLOSE!published at 51 mins

    Burnley 0-1 Leeds

Ashley Westwood drills a lovely ball for Chris Wood to chase down the left.

Wood comes in strongly on Luke Ayling to win a corner. Ayling isn't too happy but Wood was just too strong. Sean Dyche was shouting "go on Woody!" as they battled for it.

From the corner, Ashley Westwood flicks it up and spins it just wide of the keeper's right post. Decent effort!

    HT: Burnley 0-1 Leeds

Leeds dominated the second half of that opening 45 minutes but still only had two shots on target. The goal and Patrick Bamford's early strike from a tight angle which Bailey Peacock-Farrell saved comfortably.

Other than that, Peacock-Farrell hasn't had too much to do. A moment of quality from Mateusz Klich but Leeds have put in a few dangerous crosses.
