Southampton looked sharp against Liverpool last weekend and could easily have left Anfield with a draw, then Danny Ings came back to fire them to victory over Crystal Palace on Tuesday.

I'd expect Saints to get the better of Fulham too but, considering the Cottagers have been relegated, they are not a bad side at all.

Fulham's slow start obviously didn't help but even when they improved they didn't get the results their performances often deserved. They are going down, but at least they had a good go at staying up.

Prediction: 2-0

Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche speaking to BT Sport: "Harsh in the way they were clinical, panned out as we expected. We started well and stopped that occurring, allowed a goal to their liking. They get two in front and we had golden chances and you can't miss them. Leeds do concede as well as score and we shouldn't have missed those.

"Those chances could have changed the feel of the game, their keeper makes two good stops. It's hard to ask a lot more of my players, we had an emotional game on Monday and big result, I was expecting us to slide off it more than what we did really, but physically we were still at it. They were clinical, having a good run of form and great season. We look like we're huffing and puffing just trying to see the season through - my players have worked hard.

"Tough games, all games are tough for different reasons. Sheffield United are adding some pride tough season for them after a good one last year. It's rebuilding for us, we've had awful injuries and been a bit thin on the ground but there's been no lack off effort from us, just a lack of clinical finishing. No doubt they're a good outfit Leeds."

Fulham

Fulham boss Scott Parker to Sky Sports: "Next year's team will be very different to this one.

"You want to finish the season in the right way. My eyes are on the remaining three games."

Only Marcelo Bielsa could basically say it was a game of two halves but not as a cliche.

Leeds United

Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa speaking to BBC Sport: “They were two different halves. At the start of both it was difficult for us to dominate.

“They had the dominance but in the first half we didn’t suffer chances and attacked well. In the second half we were more efficient but we also conceded a few more chances."

On his side being in good physical condition: “You can verify that [we are fit] by looking at the data. I never thought that could be the case. It would have worried me if we had finished the season in physical decline.”

Southampton have earned the fewest points (14) and conceded the most goals (43) in the Premier League this calendar year.

Ralph Hasenhuttl's side have lost 13 of 17 league games since beating Liverpool in January.

Leeds United

Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa speaking to BT Sport: "In the first half we insisted until we managed to score, defended well, in the second half we didn't defend as well but we were efficient and had chances at goal.

"Big spaces it's easier to attack, and when the opponent is losing they take more risks, but as you can see we conceded chances in the second half that we didn't in the first."

On decision to bring Patrick Bamford off for Rodrigo: "Rodrigo drops deep a bit more than Bamford, in the beginning of the second half we needed to link the defence with the attack more."

On goalkeeper Illan Meslier: "He's a goalkeeper who has grown throughout the campaign, you don't notice the age that he is because he looks a lot more experienced than his age."

On the rest of the season: "We will see how the results play out because there are very few points left to play for."

Southampton have lost just one of the past eight Premier League meetings, winning three and drawing four.

Fulham have only won one of their past 30 league visits to Southampton (D8, L21).

There has only been one away win in 15 Premier League encounters.

Leeds United

Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich: "Burnley away is a very tough place. They are a difficult side to play against but we had our chances and won 4-0.

"When you score just before half-time and having the lead in the second half in the back of your mind is good. We knew they would come strong in second half. They did but we got more chances because they had to open up.

"In the last two seasons we played more games when we were not in the Premier League so we are fine. We play high intensity but the squad is getting stronger. As you can see we can still run and are fine.

"I can’t wait [for fans to come back] especially for the boys who have not played with the fans. It will be big for them."

Leeds United

Leeds goalscorer Rodrigo speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "Very happy for the goal and the victory. We are having an amazing season, we are playing excellent games.

"I try to get in behind the defenders. We know they are a tough team and a top defence so I'm happy to get the two goals today."

On his goals: "Beautiful goal, the first one, good pass from Jack [Harrison], it was a tight space but found a way to get the advantage and get the goal.

"We have an amazing group, good atmosphere during the week, the whole season was amazing for us after we got promoted last season. Very happy for the team and for the club and I hope the fans are proud of us this season."

Nothing.

Fulham are already relegated and Southampton are safe but have no chance of a top-half finish.

This would be a tough sell for the TV hype men.
