Hibs fans have blissful memories of the previous Scottish Cup semi-final showdown with United five years ago.
It took penalties to separate the sides after a goalless draw before the Leith men went on to lift the trophy for the third time - ending a 114-year wait - with an epic win over Rangers.
Things could have been very different though had it not been for unlikely superhero Conrad Logan, whose debut in the semi-final has gone down in Hibs folklore.
The Irishman played the game of his life - in his first outing for 16 months - to keep his team in the tie, and you can hear from the big man here.

Hibernian head coach Jack Ross tells Sportsound: "We've done well in the main this season. Micky's team were terrific in the quarter-final.
"We understand that we need to go two steps further, not just one step further. We remember the soreness [of semi-final defeats] and we want to make sure we come out on that polar opposite feeling.
"They've got my absolute trust. They've been brilliant for me all season. This week I've sensed a real calmness."

Dundee United manager Micky Mellon tells Sportsound: "Today, it would be great if we could go out there and perform like [we did against Aberdeen] and do the asks of the game as confidently as we did then.
"Two teams full of attacking intent so it should be a good game.
"I'm solely here to make sure that they go out there and give the best of themselves. If I was a player out there today, I wouldn't write any of them off."

Today is Hibs' sixth domestic cup semi-final since their 2016 Hampden glory day - and they have lost the lot.
Three of those were League Cup ties, including this season's 3-0 loss to St Johnstone.
That was part of a run that has seen the Easter Road men reach four consecutive semi-finals, with the 2-1 defeat to Hearts in last season's Scottish Cup last four particularly painful.
Head coach Jack Ross aims to make it third time lucky after presiding over that derby loss and the collapse against St Johnstone.
