So the race for the final two Champions League spots is going down to the wire.

Chelsea's remaining game: Sunday - Aston Villa (a).

Leicester's remaining game: Sunday - Tottenham (h).

Liverpool's remaining two games: Wednesday - Burnley (a); Sunday - Crystal Palace (h).

Tottenham can no longer finish in the top four.

Leicester City

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Sport: "Very hard fought game, I thought we weathered the storm in the first 20 minutes against a top class team with lots of talent. Disappointed with the two goals, conceded a cheap corner for the first and there was barely any contact for the second, a very hard penalty. We fought back, kept working and threw everything in the last 15 minutes.

"A tough schedule off the back of the weekend, we knew we would have to be tight and compact even though we rode our luck at times. They are Champions League finalists so are a decent team.

"We talked about it, it was an amazing victory and you have to park that success. We will have time to celebrate that in the summer but the players gave everything, there was no loss of focus or distraction, it was just a tight turnaround.

"We said it all along, the players have had a great season but it would have to be after 38 games. We have to get the points on Sunday then see where we are. If we don't get in the Champions League it has still been a great season."

Leicester City

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a very hard fought game. We're obviously disappointed with the goals. We conceded a needless corner and didn't pick up well enough. The penalty is very, very, very, harsh. It's one that we will learn from."

[On having fans back] "It was a great atmosphere. It's brilliant to have the supporters back. We had to weather that storm which we knew would come. We did that, but the nature of the goals we gave away wasn't so good. If we showed a little bit more patience we might have created one or two more opportunities but it wasn't to be."

"My players gave everything and I'm so proud of them. We're playing against a top side with top players. We'll recover and get ready for the weekend now."

"It's over 38 games. We've won so many big games this season. We just missed out in a few details tonight but overall the players have given me absolutely everything. Now we can recover for a few days."

[On how the top four will pan out] Liverpool have a couple of games. Chelsea have a tough game away at Aston Villa. I've always said we just need to concentrate on ourselves. We're still in that top four and we've got one more game to go. If we win it and it's still not enough for us we have to accept that. It's still been a great season."

[What it would mean to miss out on top four] "It would be really disappointing. But our story and your story is different. If we just fall short after 38 games as the team with the eighth biggest budget, it shows we fought really hard and just missed out. There are still points to play for and we'll be ready for that."

Leicester City

Leicester striker Kelechi Iheanacho tells Sky Sports: "It is so painful, we needed to win this game. The first half was not great and the second half we were much better. It was tough for us to come back.

"We gave everything tonight, it was so tough and hard for us and the last game we need to win and try to book our place in the Champions League.

"It is good to have the fans back in the stadiums, unfortunately we did not have our own fans here.

"Antonio Rudiger went aggressively on Ricardo Pereira and that is what caused the fight. I was telling him to calm down."

Chelsea

Chelsea striker Timo Werner speaking to Match of the Day: "It's good that we have fans back in the stadium. We missed it so much. That's why you play football because you want a full stadium. There was only 8,000 here today but it was so loud. It made it a lot of fun to play today and you saw that on the pitch."

[On his disallowed goal and penalty decision] "The first half was a bit like a mirror of the whole season for me. Always close, then at the end not really. When you are young and in the final of the Champions League it's no problem."

[On bouncing back from FA Cup final] "It was really hard after the final You want to win every final. The game was so big that we couldn't have so much things in our head about the final because we had to concentrate on this game. It was much more important because when you don't play Champions League next season it means a lot."

Chelsea

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel speaking to Sky Sports: "Fantastic. It was an outstanding performance but the job is not done. We have two more to go. The fans made a huge difference. The speed in our game, the hunger, the ambition. It was a very strong performance and I'm delighted the team can present itself like this in front of our fans."

[On if Chelsea were fired up from FA Cup final defeat] "We were fired up from our loss against Arsenal. Today we did what we do. We played courageous, high intensity, aggressive. Happy to have the win. I need to repeat, it's not done."

[On Timo Werner's performance] It's his job to be involved in everything and he needs to be involved on Sunday again. It's no time now for extra praise. Enjoy, shut up, enjoy your free day and get ready for Sunday. I don't feel comfortable now celebrating, I just say what's needed."

[On the performance compared to Sunday at Wembley] "It was much better. Top performance. First half was amazing. Second half as well. We gave an easy goal away that made us suffer a bit in the end but overall a very deserved win.

[On VAR decisions against Werner] "It's a clear penalty. They are horrible against us. It's the third time in a row. This has to stop of course but we were not worried at half-time."

[On final game of the season] "It's still in our hands. We need another huge performance but with fans in the Aston Villa ground will be super hard."

Chelsea

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel tells BBC Sport: "It was a strong performance and well deserved performance. No time for celebration, the job is not done yet, two more games to go. Very happy to play in front of supporters, it was a huge difference today.

"On Sunday we had the post match talk and you go on from there. Today is what we demand, played with high intensity and aggression and the team did very good.

"It is a bit frustrating but we speak about doing it again, go into the box, stay patient and play with a cool head. Keep the fire up and we played a high intensity game.

"We defended so strong, did not give many chances but escaped with a deserved win. It is a different game with fans."

Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, speaking to BT Sport: "11 v 11 is tough but 10 v 11 for 80 minutes is so difficult. Congratulations to Brighton for the victory and the season.

"At 2-0 we conceded quickly. That's why it's nice to have already won the Premier League. Ilkay Gundogan got a kick. He started the second half but had niggles."

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton's Leandro Trossard, speaking to BBC Sport: "We said before the game we wanted to go for the three points. They got a red card but even with 10 men Manchester City are an unbelievable side.

"I tried to find the space to shoot [for my goal]. It's a special evening when you beat the champions, a really nice feeling. It was the perfect evening for us in the end. Let's enjoy this moment."

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter, speaking to BT Sport: "It's amazing. Fantastic. Manchester City are the champions, a fantastic team, and it was a wonderful test for us.

"I thought we played well and tried. We were brave with our defending from the start. It's not easy to beat City. They are the best team.

"It's a good way [for the fans] to come back to football."

Brighton & Hove Albion

Brighton boss Graham Potter, speaking to BBC Sport: "We needed that [first] goal to get us back into it and to give us belief.

"We could have felt sorry for ourselves at 2-0 down but fortunately the supporters got behind us and the atmosphere lifted. The fans absolutely helped us and played a part in the game. It was a proper game of football.

"In the end it's a really nice evening for us. This season we've performed a lot better than we did last season. The points tally hasn't necessarily matched our displays. We are a young team and they will get better."

One thing's for sure. Chelsea have had to work extremely hard to achieve this. Stamford Bridge is now jumping and the supporters are up on their feet. It really is rocking. That result tonight hasn't come easy. The effort and energy put into this game really is remarkable after suffering a loss at the weekend to come out the way they did. Hats off to them. They thoroughly deserved it. It's a brilliant team performance all round.

The Chelsea players are gathered on the pitch and are applauding the 8,000 home fans who saw their side gain redemption after the result on Saturday.

The race for the top four is going to the final day.

Thomas Tuchel's side hold on to move up to third in the table, leapfrogging FA Cup winners Leicester.

Brendan Rodgers' side now face a very nervous week.

Good luck trying to figure that one out. There were so many bodies in and amongst it. The tension in this match is hard to describe. That was a sign of it all boiling over in one moment. Coaching staff, managers, subs on the bench all getting involved.
