I thought there might have been a few more changes but they're European champions and I'm sure the fans want to see those players playing.

Everybody is excited about Lauren James, I thought she might get a start but I'm sure she'll come on at some stage.

I'm not going to say anything against Sarina!

England boss Sarina Wiegman: "It is really exciting. There will be 30,000 to watch us, so we want to make it a nice celebration and a nice football game.

"This team is so eager to do well. I expect a very energetic team that really wants to show and score lots of goals and, of course, concede none.

"There is a big difference in level between them and us so we should show that. We want to create many chances and score lots of goals. We want to get a big win."

    Wales v Slovenia (19:45 BST)

Huge night for Wales. They need one points against Slovenia at Cardiff City Stadium to book a World Cup play-off spot. Wales' women have never qualified for a major tournament before.

Boss Gemma Grainger says: "It's the biggest night of our lives."

It was the best moment ever and I could watch it forever.

I look at it and now and think, 'was I really there?' It's something you work for your whole career. It makes all the hard work worthwhile.

I really want to coach, that's where I get my buzz. I want to help the next generation but, for now, a little rest.

Luxembourg v Northern Ireland: Amy Thompson sent-off for celebration

Big blow for Luxembourg. And that's before a ball has even been kicked in anger.

Amy Thompson, who has scored five of their nine goals in World Cup qualifying, will not be playing.

She was sent-off after scoring against Northern Ireland in a 2-1 qualifying home defeat last Friday.

If the reception the players got as they came out to warm-up is anything to go by, it's going to be a noisy homecoming for England.

The team have just said a quick hello to former England internationals Karen Carney and Ian Wright, both working for ITV tonight, while fans go crazy in the background.

It might not be Wembley but this definitely feels more like home than the tent they did media in over in Austria and the Stadion Wiener Neustadt they played in, located next to an airport landing strip!

England's nine victories to date include a 20-0 thrashing of Latvia in Doncaster last November, the team's biggest ever competitive win.

Luxembourg were beaten 10-0 in the reverse fixture just under a year ago.

The Lionesses have hit double figures four times in total in the campaign, also posting 10-0 away wins against the Latvians and North Macedonia.

Will they hit double figures tonight?

To hit 50 caps at the age of 25 is pretty impressive. Keira Walsh has been a mainstay in the England team. She was player of the match at the Euro 2022 final. Why she wasn't on the Ballon d'Or list I do not know.

Some people will say holding midfielders never get the recognition they deserve.

People who are new to watching women's football off the back of the summer have seen how good a player Keira is. But she's actually been doing that for six or seven years at Manchester City.

She's been a real key feature in the way City have progressed. She is ridiculous. If she goes [to Barcelona], good for her.

This is a night of celebration for the Lionesses.

Sarina Wiegman will be presented with the Uefa coach of the year trophy before kick-off.

And now retired midfielder Jill Scott will walk out ahead of the teams with the Euro 2022 trophy.

The big question is: Will Scott be interviewing the trophy like she did on stage at Trafalgar Square the day after winning Euro 2022?

  18. Team news - Parris, Daly and Roebuck startpublished at 18:49 British Summer Time 6 September 2022

Sarina Wiegman has made three changes to the side which sealed qualification for the World Cup with victory over Austria on Saturday.

Rachel Daly comes into defence, replacing Millie Bright, as Alex Greenwood moves across to the centre-back position.

Nikita Parris gets the nod over Lauren Hemp and Ellie Roebuck is in goal as first-choice keeper Mary Earps drops to the bench.

England XI: Roebuck, Bronze, Williamson, Greenwood, Daly, Walsh, Stanway, Toone, Parris, Mead, Russo.

Subs: Bright, Earps, Zelem, Wubben-Moy, Carter, Hemp, Nobbs, England, Stokes, MacIver, James, Salmon.

This is a dead rubber in that England have already booked their place in Australia and New Zealand next summer with one game to spare after a faultless qualifying campaign.

    Played 9. Won 9. Scored 70. Conceded 0.

Sarina Wiegman wants her Lionesses to go for it and entertain in their 10th and final qualifying game.

It could be a very long night in the Potteries for Luxembourg, who sit 117th in Fifa's world rankings - 113 places below England.
