  1. 'Youth is the heartbeat' at Accies - Ricepublished at 11:56 British Summer Time 16 May 2021

    Hamilton Academical v Kilmarnock (12:00)

"We've had a lot of problems, they are well documented, but the bottom line is we haven't been good enough," Hamilton Accies boss Brian Rice tells BBC Sportsound.

"I'm not looking back any more. There's no point.

"We will always give youth a chance because we know the finances and we know the profile of the club. Kids know there is a good pathway for them but I need good pros in there with them. I hope that never changes. For me, youth is the heartbeat of the club."

  2. Wright 'relaxed' before showdownpublished at 11:52 British Summer Time 16 May 2021

    Hamilton Academical v Kilmarnock (12:00)

Kilmarnock manager Tommy Wright will be keeping a keen eye on things at Fir Park.

"I won't be looking at it every 30 seconds, but probably every 10, 15 minutes and see how that's going," he said on Sportsound.

"It's a big game. The focus is just go and win the game and hopefully Motherwell get a result that benefits us. We're going into the game in good form, playing with a freedom going forward.

"We know the areas individually and collectively we've got to tidy up on.

"I'm pretty relaxed about it all, let's hope the players go out and perform the way I know they can."

  4. Brophy starts for St Mirren, United make three changespublished at 11:46 British Summer Time 16 May 2021

St Mirren v Dundee United (12:00)

It's been quite a seven days for St Mirren. A second cup semi-final defeat of the season last weekend will have taken plenty out of their players and an exhilarating 3-3 draw with Kilmarnock won't have helped much in terms of rest and recuperation.

Manager Jim Goodwin has made four changes to the side that drew in Ayrshire, the first of which comes in the back three as Daniel Finlayson drops to the bench and is replaced by Richard Tait.

Dylan Connolly comes in for Ilkay Durmus, with Jay Henderson likely to move over to the left in a wing-back role.

Jake Doyle-Hayes misses out on the matchday squad completely, with Ryan Flynn taking his place in the middle, while Eamonn Brophy gets a start up front, as Jon Obika drops to the bench.

Dundee United manager Micky Mellon makes three changes from their 2-2 draw against Motherwell. Mark Connolly will spend months on the sidelines through injury, with Ryan Edwards taking his place in the centre of defence. Adrian Sporle is replaced at left-back by Jamie Robson.

Peter Pawlett misses out and Ian Harkes gets a start in the middle of the park.

  5. Campbell misses last game at Fir Parkpublished at 11:43 British Summer Time 16 May 2021

    Motherwell v Ross County (12:00)

Experienced defenders Keith Watson and Carl Tremarco are drafted in for Ross County as both sides make two changes.

Motherwell go for midfield alterations as Robbie Crawford and Mark O'Hara come in for Stevie Lawless and Allan Campbell.

Campbell is almost certainly moving on under freedom of contract, although there will be a hefty compensation fee, but misses the chance to say his goodbyes on the pitch today after picking up an slight ankle injury.

  6. Change of goalies for Killie & Hamiltonpublished at 11:40 British Summer Time 16 May 2021

    Hamilton Academical v Kilmarnock (12:00)

Kilmarnock boss Tommy Wright makes two changes to the side that twice threw away the lead to draw 3-3 with St Mirren.

Left-back Calum Waters was exposed for two of the goals and so finds himself on the bench, as Brandon Haunstrup returns.

Goalkeeper Danny Rogers didn't cover himself in glory either, so Colin Doyle replaces him.

Meanwhile, 19-year-old goalkeeper Jamie Smith makes his debut for Hamilton.

Experienced campaigners Brian Easton, Lee Hodson, Ross Callachan, and David Moyo all drop out of a much-changed side with relegation effectively confirmed.

  8. Sweet dreams for Rangers captainpublished at 11:35 British Summer Time 16 May 2021

Some of the players involved today may have had a restless night but it looks like Rangers skipper James Tavernier had a good kip, waking up with the Premiership trophy.

The champions completed an unbeaten campaign with a 4-0 win over Aberdeen at Ibrox before the silverware was handed over.

  9. 'No meaningless games' - Goodwinpublished at 11:32 British Summer Time 16 May 2021

St Mirren v Dundee United (12:00)

This one is a dead rubber, with both teams comfortably away from the wrong end of the table.

Motherwell are in pole position to finish as the best bottom six side but if they slip up then seventh place is up for grabs in Paisley and any extra prize money is always welcome.

"We want to finish the season on a high," said St Mirren boss Jim Goodwin on Friday. "There is always something to play for. I stress that to the players before every game, there are no meaningless games in football."

  10. Dundee wait for team 11published at 11:29 British Summer Time 16 May 2021

Once the dust settles today, Kilmarnock or Ross County will take on Dundee over two legs for a place in next season's top flight.

James McPake's side lost 1-0 at home to Raith Rovers last night, having won the first leg 3-0 in Kirkcaldy.

With Charlie Adam, Jason Cummings and Paul McGowan in their ranks, the Dark Blues may well fancy their chances of coming up.
