    Larne 0-2 Linfield

Tomas Cosgrove is furious. The Larne right-back wants a free-kick after the ball appears to strike Cooper's arm while the Linfield man is on the ground.

Cosgrove subsequently fouls Cooper. Linfield free-kick, and yet more frustration for Larne, who are running out of time and ideas against a remarkably well-drilled Blues outfit.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:09 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

Last roll of the dice from Larne as Johnny McMurray comes on for Ronan Hale.

Just under 25 minutes left. The Invermen need to get a move on.

  3. Healy letting officials have itpublished at 21:07 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

David Healy has been agitated so far in this half.

The Linfield manager felt his side should have had a penalty for a challenge on Clarke and two or three times now he has given the referee and fourth official a blast.

The Larne fans behind him enjoyed that, of course, and let him hear it too.

The second half has been as entertaining so far as the first was. The 1,000 spectators are being treated to a right tasty cup final here as the sun peeks out in Lurgan.

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

A brilliant piece of play from Jamie Mulgrew drives Linfield forward.

He finds Cooper, who's free once again on the left, but a loose touch allows Larne to find their shape again.

Cooper eventually digs out a cross but it's over everyone's heads. Perhaps the first sign of fatigue from Cooper. Can't say I'm surprised, he's run himself into the ground from the first whistle.

  5. Postpublished at 21:04 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

Cooper plays a cracking pass into Lavery, but Josh Robinson times his last-ditch tackle to perfection.

A crucial intervention, but Larne have yet to build on McDaid and Sule's efforts a few minutes ago.

  6. Larne fans spring into songpublished at 21:01 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

    Quote Message

The Larne fans have had very little to cheer about, but that's given them some belief. It's a tremendous strike from Sule, it's the first time he's really found any space in midfield to drive forward.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 20:56 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

    Mark Randall replaces Lee Lynch.

Randall's certainly capable of opening up a defence. He'll need to do it pretty quickly here.

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

Linfield piling the pressure on Larne once again as Palmer's shot deflects away for yet another Blues corner.

Millar's delivery is met by Cooper, but he glances his header wide.

Not much has changed, to be honest. Linfield are still very much on top.

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

Lavery pounces on Lee Lynch's loose touch and finds Joel Cooper, who stands a fine cross up for Niall Quinn.

The full-back can't find the target but it falls to Lavery, whose powerful header produces a flying stop from Mitchell.

How crucial could that moment prove to be?

  12. Big half-time team talk neededpublished at 20:41 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

Strong words. A few might well be being used in Larne's dressing room right now, too.

Larne fans, how can your side get back into this one?

  13. Will Tiernan Lynch act quickly again?published at 20:36 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

    Mark Sterling
BBC Sport NI at Mourneview Park

At half time of their semi-final win over Crusaders, with his team struggling to find their groove, Larne boss Tiernan Lynch didn't hang about as he brought Jonny McMurray off the bench.

The move worked as it gave Larne more of a presence up front and allowed Ronan Hale to create problems from wider areas.

Linfield are even more on top in this final than the Crues were on Tuesday, and it will be interesting to see if Lynch makes his move early again.

Linfield have been right on it from the first minute tonight and they don't look like a side that is likely to give up the lead they have earned.

    Massive second half incoming.

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

    Quote Message

Linfield were out of the traps sharp. Every tackle, every header was met with a cheer, everything really drove them on. That set the tone for them. The Blues just haven't let Larne breathe. Linfield have absolutely dominated the midfield battle and blown Larne away. We're seeing a team who are used to winning trophies.

  15. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

    Linfield are in cruise control.

Goals from the indefatigable duo of Shayne Lavery and Joel Cooper see the Blues in the driving seat at the break after a breathless 45 minutes.

There's no other way of putting it: Linfield have just been vastly superior across the park.

Larne boss Tiernan Lynch has a massive team talk ahead of him.

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

We all know about the threat Linfield possess on the ball, but their pressing so far this evening has been utterly relentless with Shayne Lavery and Joel Cooper defending brilliantly from the front.

Cameron Palmer deserves a mention, too, for refusing to give the influential Fuad Sule a second on the ball in the middle.

It'll be difficult to maintain such a furious tempo, of course, but it's certainly doing the trick at the moment.

  18. Cooper hasn't stoppedpublished at 20:23 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

    Mark Sterling
BBC Sport NI at Mourneview Park

    Joel Cooper deserved that goal.

He looks like he has enjoyed playing right in front of the Linfield fans down the left, delivering one or two tenacious tackles while tracking back as well as threatening going forward.

The finish for his goal may have been straightforward enough, but he did well to get a strong ankle on the ball and control it.

It certainly hasn't deterred the vocal Larne support but their team need to respond. And soon,.

  19. Linfield intensity paying offpublished at 20:21 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

    Quote Message

We talked about the tempo and intensity of this game. That second goal has given Linfield a real lift, it's given their fans a lift and they're working tremendously hard again.

GOALpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 21 May 2021

    Larne 0-2 Linfield

Joel Cooper doubles Linfield's lead after 32 minutes!

This is turning into a nightmare for Larne, who have been undone once again.

Conor Pepper drills a dangerous cross towards Lavery, who can't get his toe on the ball, but it comes to Cooper, whose effort wriggles through Conor Mitchell and into the net.

What a hammer blow for Larne, who have a mountain to climb if they're to win their first Irish Cup.
