The Coleraine supporters need a lift here. They thought they had it with that Curtis Allen goal before it was rightly disallowed.

The base drum that often sets tempo of the Bannsiders crowd had just been getting warmed up before Linfield scored, but it has been shouting disapproval of referee Raymond Crangle's decisions that has occupied the home support over the last few minutes.

The team have responded positively to falling behind but they will need to make sure Linfield don't get a stranglehold of this game.

There isn't much pattern or shape to the play. It is all a bit fractious which you would expect given there is so much at stake.

  4. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 19:56 British Summer Time 25 May 2021

    Cliftonville 1-0 Crusaders

Big blow for Crusaders as Jordan Owens limps off in the 10th-minute.

Decent replacement, in fairness, in the shape of David Cushley.

  5. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 19:53 British Summer Time 25 May 2021

    Coleraine 0-1 Linfield

Coleraine have the ball in the back of the net after James McLaughlin headed on and Aaron Jarvis stuck out a boot to tee up Curtis Allen but Allen used his hand to palm the ball into the goal.

No debate about that one - an easy decision for Raymond Crangle.

The smirk on Allen's face afterwards said it all.

Still 1-0 to the Belfast Blues.

  6. CLOSE!published at 19:50 British Summer Time 25 May 2021

    Coleraine 0-1 Linfield

The hosts go close to equalising but James McLaughlin's fiercely struck right-foot drive is pushed round the post by Chris Johns.

Almost the perfect response from the Bannsiders.

  7. goal

GOALpublished at 19:48 British Summer Time 25 May 2021

    Cliftonville 1-0 Crusaders

The roar returns to Solitude as Daire O'Connor rifles Cliftonville into an early lead!

The Reds have made a bright start in the north Belfast sun and O'Connor appears to be in the mood, controlling the ball at the far post before lifting his shot into the roof of debutant Neil Shields' net.

Cracking start. Only three minutes gone.

    Larne 0-0 Glentoran

We're underway at Inver Park, where it's also a big night with European football on the line.

There's a late change for the Glens as Conor McMenamin comes in for Rory Donnelly after the warm-up.

Mark Haughey heads home the opener for Linfield!

Kirk Millar's corner form the left was headed on by a Coleraine defender and Haughey rose unmarked at the back post to score with a powerful header.

    First blood to the Blues.

    Ballymena United v Warrenpoint Town

Ballymena may have lost in the semi-final of the Irish Cup but manager David Jeffrey has instructed his players that their campaign is far from over, with a European play-off place still within reach.

That is slightly out of the Sky Blues' own hands with Glenavon currently three points ahead of them with only two games to go but Jeffrey will want his side to look after their own business in the hope that the Mourneview men slip up.

United make one change from that semi-final defeat to Linfield with on-loan Trai Hume - who was unavailable against his parent club - replacing Andy McGrory.

Warrenpoint, who have endured a miserable run of form in recent weeks make two changes from their last league outing some 10 days ago, with Alan O'Sullivan and Brandon Doyle replacing Fra McCaffrey and Ben Mullen.

Ballymena United: Glendinning, Hume, Ervin, Keeley, Redman, Graham, Kelly, Millar, McCartan, Waide, McElroy.

Subs: T Kane, Addis, McKeown, Harpur, Knowles, K Kane, Wylie.

Warrenpoint Town: Coleman, Deasy, McVeigh, Wallace, Ball, Gallagher, Hutchinson, Dillon, Swan, Doyle, O'Sullivan.

Subs: Sava, Mullen, Cowan, Byrne, Quinn, Forsythe.

    Larne v Glentoran

The title could be decided tonight but it's not the only big game in the works as third take on fourth at Inver Park.

Off the back of their Irish Cup final heartbreak, Larne have another bite of the cherry as they look to secure third position and automatic route into Europe.

The only problem is, third is currently occupied by Glentoran, who sit one position and one point ahead of the Inver Park side. The Glens know three points would secure that coveted position, but a win for Larne would turn things on its head ahead of the final round of fixtures.

It's not the end of the road for either side no matter the result tonight with the play-offs for the final European spot to come for one of these sides, however if you can get the job done without the extra stress, drama and potential heartbreak then all the better.

Larne: C Mitchell, Watson, Robinson, Herron, Sule, Randall, Hale, McDaid, Cosgrove, Hughes, Jarvis.

Subs: Kelly, Donnelly, Scott, Lynch, Mitchell, Wade Slater, McMurray.

Glentoran: Coleing, Kane, McCullough, Bigirimana, Gallagher, Gotman, R Donnelly, McDaid, McClean, Marshall, J Donnelly.

Subs: Morris, Mitchell, Clucas, O'Connor, Crowe, McMenamin, Cowan.

    Portadown v Dungannon Swifts

It might seem at first glance that the meeting on ninth-placed Portadown and Dungannon - already condemned to finishing bottom - might not have much at stake.

Best not to mention that suggestion, however, within earshot of the respective managers with Matthew Tipton and Dean Shiels already beginning their preparations for next season, when they will both aim to improve their teams' fortunes.

Portadown: Carney, Kerr, McCallum, Finnegan, Hall, Tipton, Teggart, Warde, Tilney, Salley, Bonis.

Subs: Buchanan, Lavery, Murray, Croskery, Guy, Conaty, Jordan.

Dungannon Swifts: Carroll, Coyle, McGinty, M Smyth, Patton, Mayse, Convie, Conway, McAleer, O Smyth, Campbell.

Subs: Johnston, Gallagher, Glenny, McGee, Teelan, Patterson, Robinson.

Joel Cooper goes close to breaking the deadlock but his sidefooted effort from Kirk Millar's cross from the right flies just wide of the post.

    Carrick Rangers v Glenavon

Glenavon know what they need to do: win tonight and they will virtually guarantee a seventh-placed finish and the European play-off spot that comes with it.

However, Gary Hamilton's side must do so without the services of injured trio Gareth McCaffrey, Colin Coates and Michael O’Connor.

The Lurgan Blues are fresh off sealing this season's Mid-Ulster Cup, and unsurprisingly field an entirely changed XI to the one that beat Loughgall in Saturday's decider.

Carrick, of course, are embarking on the post-Niall Currie era following his resignation earlier this month.

Interim boss Scott Irvine largely keeps faith in the line-up selected by Currie for the defeat by Portadown on 15 May, with Corey McMullan and Christopher Ramsey in for Michael Smith and Caolan Loughran.

The last time the sides met at Taylors Avenue, Glenavon edged a seven-goal thriller. Can lightning strike twice? Possibly, but Hamilton would be happy enough with a good old 1-0.

Carrick Rangers: Hogg (capt), Forsythe, Neale, Chapman, Gordon, Cherry, Glendinning, Gibson, Anderson, McMullan, Ramsey.

Subs: Connor Friel, Loughran, Smith, Millar, Mulholland, Kalla, Cathair Friel.

Glenavon: Hyland, A Doyle, Purkis, Campbell, Hall, Snoddy, Fitzpatrick, Douglas, Singleton (capt), Garrett, Ward.

Subs: Birney, Byrne, Harmon, Norton, J Doyle, McNulty, Doran.

Coleraine have been the success story of the season. They are a part-time team and had a very poor start to the season but they have shown the ability, determination and wherewithal to come back strongly and challenge for the title.

    Cliftonville v Crusaders

It's fifth versus sixth in tonight's north Belfast derby - the first to be played with fans in attendance - as Cliftonville and Crusaders aim to finish off the season strongly ahead of the European play-offs.

Cliftonville, who have enjoyed a 10-day rest after beating Glentoran, make just one change from that win at the Oval with Seanna Foster drafted in for Garry Breen.

Crusaders boss Stephen Baxter makes seven changes from his side's controversial Irish Cup defeat by Larne with Billy Joe Burns, Ben Kennedy, Daniel Larmour and Jarlath O'Rourke the only survivors.

Neil Shields makes his debut in goal with Jonny Tuffey suspended.

The last two derbies finished as 2-2 draws and we're hoping for plenty more goals to give the returning Solitude faithful something to shout about.

Cliftonville: McCarey, Ives, Harney, C Curran (capt), O'Connor, McCrudden, Foster, Donnelly, Bagnall, Hale, Lowe.

Subs: Dunne, R Curran, Doherty, Casey, Kearns, O'Neill, Coffey.

Crusaders: Shields, BJ Burns, Weir, Kennedy, McGonigle, Caddell, O'Rourke, Owens (capt), Brown, Larmour, A Clarke.

Subs: O'Neill, Cushley, Thompson, Heatley, R Clarke, T Burns, Patterson.
