What an effort from Stephen O'Donnell. Eyebrows were raised when he was back in the side and he's kept his place. That is a tremendous save from Jordan Pickford. O'Donnell does everything right there, everything you would want and Pickford matches him. What an effort.

Almost a sensational goal for Stephen O'Donnell!

Kieran Tierney and Andy Robertson link down the left, with the former cutting back from the byline to send in a looping cross.

O'Donnell watches it all the way and cracks a volley on target, only for Jordan Pickford to get down and push it away. The ball pops up for Che Adams but he can't react quickly enough and heads wide.

Great save. That was creeping inside the post.

Another late offside flag as England skipper Harry Kane throws himself at a skidding cross and heads wide of David Marshall's goal.

England have never lost in the finals of a major tournament at Wembley, winning eight times and drawing three games – although they did lose that penalty decider here to Germany after a 1-1 draw in the semi-final of Euro '96.

A couple of nice touches from Billy Gilmour on his first international start, but the game is being played at a frantic pace, which probably doesn't suit the diminutive midfielder.

Nothing for Jordan Pickford to worry about.

Lyndon Dykes has won aerial battles against Tyrone Mings and John Stones there within the space of a couple of minutes. He looks brighter than he did against the Czechs, no doubt helped by the presence of a strike-partner in Che Adams.

Phil Foden is offside as he brings a long ball down with a nice touch and drills a shot just wide. The usual late flag from the assistant ref.

Scotland midfielder John McGinn is booked now, but it's not for a bad tackle, it's for mouthing off at the referee.

Not a particularly smart move.

After an encouraging opening 10 minutes, Scotland have just wobbled. Where on earth was the marking on Stones at the corner? Tasty start to the game though. Phillips v McGinn looks a great contest.

More afters between Kalvin Phillips and John McGinn. The Spanish referee keeps his cards in his pocket for now.

Scott McTominay is caught in possession near his own penalty area and Raheem Sterling is off like a shot, setting up a shooting chance for Mason Mount, who prods a first-time effort inches wide.
