And that was nearly it as Torquay's Adam Randell has a pop from range which is just tipped over from Hartlepool keeper Brad James.

The wait for our opener continues, although you feel this game won't be goalless for too much longer.

Neither side are bossing the midfield which is leading to a game played exclusively in the final thirds of the pitch.

Each time I check for typos, I look back to see the ball at the opposite end to where it was before. Madness.

Torquay go forward again and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans has the ball in behind. He sells two defenders, cutting back onto his right, but his shot is comfortable for Brad James.

Better from Torquay as Adam Randell makes a surging run from midfield, but can only send a tame shot on his weaker foot from range.

It's been fairly even so far but over the past five minutes Pools have been more threatening.

I'm sure Dave Challinor will be quite happy with how his side have started.

That early disallowed goal has really given Hartlepool the impetus.

They've been the better side for the past 15 minutes or so having been able to get hold to the ball better.

Totally agree Martin. No tiki-taka football here. You win the ball back, you play it forward.

The forward looks certain to score but Torquay's Joe Lewis is back to stick out a toe and deflect the ball over.
