  1. Goodbye

England v Denmark (Wed, 20:00 BST)

On that note, it's a wrap from here but you can switch over to coverage of the Italy v Spain game with Gary Rose by clicking here.

You can also watch it at the same time on BBC One. What are you waiting for?

  2. 'Moments to capitalise on'

England v Denmark (Wed, 20:00 BST)

"We believe that this squad can get even stronger as they gain even more experience but you can never determine in tournaments how things are going to play out," says Southgate

"There are lost of random events that happen in tournaments and, when you get to the latter stages, you recognise that these are the moments that you need to capitalise on."

He adds: "For this team, you'll probably never get the same group of players together again so for them this is their - and our - opportunity and we want to make the most of that."

England manager Gareth Southgate and striker Harry Kane
  3. 'We try to take the initiative'

England v Denmark (Wed, 20:00 BST)

Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand: "We are in a phase with the Danish national team where we move a little bit away from always being underdogs.

"With the quality we have and results we have been having, we try to take the initiative in the matches whoever is on the other side of the pitch.

"We will try to be pro-active and play with courage - we always do that. But, of course, in a match like this at Wembley against England we will be the team that may be the underdog.

"I don't like underdog mentality. We are, for sure, not the favourites but our mentality is not to play football like underdogs - just defending and hoping. Our mentality is to try to take control as much as possible knowing that the opponent's are strong."

  4. 'We think it's possible'

England v Denmark (Wed, 20:00 BST)

Denmark coach Kasper Hjulmand spoke to the media earlier. He was asked how much of a factor it would be that his side beat England 1-0 in October 2020 when they last played at Wembley.

"That game gave us the belief," he said. "It was a match where Harry Maguire got a red card in the first half and it changed a little bit the picture of the game. I think it was a tight game anyway.

"Of course, it gives us the belief we think it's possible. Our players have great quality. The squad we have, the players, the mentality and team spirit, we definitely think that we have a possibility in this match."

  5. 'Breaking barriers'

    England v Denmark (20:000 BST)

Gareth Southgate is asked about whether his penalty shoot-out miss at Euro 96 against Germany is a motivating factor for him. (Ouch)

"It's not about what it is for me, it's about what it is for the players, all of the staff and the country," he says.

"We don't have as good a football history as we like to believe sometimes and these players are making massive strides and breaking barriers all the time.

"We've broken barriers in this tournament and we have another opportunity to do that tomorrow. We've never been to a European Championship final so we can be the first which is really exciting for everybody"

He adds: "We respect the Danes. I've always been a fan of the players Denmark have produced. Their football is incredible - the individual players but also the teams they've produced for the size of the country's population."

  6. Keep calm and carry on

    England v Denmark (20:00 BST)

The last time England played Denmark they had defender Harry Maguire sent off.

England manager Gareth Southgate: "We're always talking about those situations and not everything has gone to plan - that's for certain - but we do talk those things through because you have to stay calm in those situations.

"We've been in those sorts of situations before ... so the team are resilient in those moments and know they have to stay calm."

  7. Clean sheet kings?

England v Denmark (Wed, 20:00 BST)

England are on the cusp of a defensive record. They've kept a clean sheet in all five of their games at Euro 2020 so far and no team has ever kept six clean sheets in a single edition of the European Championship or World Cup before.

  8. Staying focused

England v Denmark (Wed, 20:00 BST)

England manager Gareth Southgate: "We expected ourselves to get to this point. We've had that internal aim but we've not been celebrating the victories in the same way [as the World Cup].

"We've moved onto the next challenge quickly and it was the same after the game in Rome [against Ukraine]. Our focus was quickly on the game against Denmark."

  9. Are England under more pressure?

    England v Denmark (20:00 BST)

"We've had expectation during the whole tournament and think we've dealt with that well in the opening game and against Germany," says England manager Gareth Southgate.

"We've never been to a final so the pressure is what you choose it to be. It's a motivating thing and a challenge for us.

"Denmark have won it in the past so maybe there is more pressure on them to replicate that.

"It's not the way we are viewing it. We know it is about performing on the day."

  10. 'Sad not to see Eriksen'

    England v Denmark (20:00 BST)

England striker Harry Kane played with Denmark playmaker Christian Eriksen at Tottenham. Eriksen is recovering after suffering a cardiac arrest in Denmark's first game.

England will make a shirt presentation at Wembley to show their support for Eriksen.

"I'm good friends with Chris," says Kane. "It will be sad not to see him there. He's been a big part of Denmark's success over the years and, of course, it is a terrible thing that happened to him. The main thing is that he's doing well and recovering well.

"I'm sure he will be rooting for Denmark more than for me for sure. There will be a presentation to show our support from England."

  11. Post update

England v Denmark (Wed, 20:00 BST)

Is Bukayo Saka fit? What formation will Gareth Southgate go for?

England manager Gareth Southgate: "At the moment we have got everyone available. We've got one or two checks to make tonight. In terms of the system, I think over the last three years we have always been flexible with our tactical approach. We always try to pick the right approach for the opponent.

"Denmark have been changing during matches so they've got real fluidity with their selection so we will have to be aware of that during the game."

  12. 'The players are ready'

England v Denmark (Wed, 20:00 BST)

England manager Gareth Southgate: "We're very excited about the game and know that we are going to have tremendous support throughout the country. That is a great feeling for us.

"The players are ready. They've got tremendous experience having been in this situation before. Our preparation has been calm. We know we are playing a really good opponent. I think it is going to be a really tight and exciting game."

  14. 'England will be favourites but it will be tough'

England v Denmark (Wed, 20:00 BST)

Lineker says that England will be favourites against Denmark but can expect a tough game.

"It will be interesting to see if Gareth changes the system again because Denmark play with three at the back and when we played against Germany he switched the system to accommodate them.

"I don't think there will be too many changes personal-wise. England will be favourites, Denmark will be tougher opposition then the Ukraine with some good young players that have excelled in the tournament as well as the experience.

"They are on a wave of emotion and togetherness like England in that sense but in perhaps different motivation because of what happened to Christian Eriksen.

"It's going to be very difficult and tough but England have to be favourites."

  15. 'England have been near perfect'

England v Denmark (Wed, 20:00 BST)

Talking about Gary Lineker, he's been speaking to BBC Sport's Eleanor Roper about the England side's progress.

"England's campaign has been near perfect, the only game they probably faired poorly was Scotland but I've played in many games against your neighbours particularly against Republic of Ireland, they are one offs and difficult," says Lineker.

"They've been solid and got better as the tournament's progressed.

"Beating Germany was a big mental block to overcome and an almost perfect performance against Ukraine.

"They've got great depth in their squad, so it's looking good, it's knockout football so anything can happen but all being well they'll make it to the final."

  16. Meanwhile...
