If Ronaldo keeps putting the ball in the net then who are we to tell him to sit down. He can pick the team for all I care.

    Mark, Manchester.

Horrendous mistake from the West Ham keeper should have held on to the ball instead of spilling it!!!

    Jim from Glasgow.

Corner to Brighton, who could do with making this dominance count with a second goal.

Because Leicester will surely play better in the second half.

How was that a definite penalty? Maupay has both his arms around Vestergard's arm? VAR is a joke!

Mikey Gear: the rest of the United players need to get up to speed and match Cristiano because they are too cavalier with no sense of urgency.

Stuart Mitchell: it's amazing what Man Utd can actually do when they play at a high tempo. That equaliser came from it. Yet we continue to start games at a snails pace.

That is why Cristiano Ronaldo is the best in the world. Those moments [having been denied moments earlier] don't effect him. What he did for the goal, he peeled off Cresswell and that is how he got his reward.

    Cristiano Ronaldo (34 mins)

    No mistake this time.

Bruno Fernandes curls it in, Cristiano Ronaldo flicks it towards goal and Lukasz Fabianski makes the initial save.

It lands about a yard off the line, with Fabianski unable to react as Ronaldo pokes in the rebound.

There's a quick VAR check for offside but it's going to stand.

The shot has no power on it, the keeper would have saved it comfortably but he hits it and there are bodies in front and it comes off Varane. He is completely misguided and moves the wrong direction.

For the last 10 minutes, West Ham deserve to be 1-0 up.

  20. PENALTY TO BRIGHTONpublished at 14:34 British Summer Time 19 September 2021

    Brighton 0-0 Leicester

After Stuart Attwell appeared to not give the penalty initially, he then did. And the decision is backed up by VAR. Definite handball.
