Manchester United
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba: “There is only one way to come back [from Champions League defeat]. Hopefully today is to get a win. That is the past, we know the mistakes we did and the performance and we want to bounce back today."
On his own form: “This is not important. What is important is the consistency of the team. We have to keep this up. Assists come, the team performance helps me have the assists. I want to carry on, giving my best for the team and win games.
“We always say we win games in midfield. You have to control the game, this is in a stadium not easy to play against this team."

Andrew Wordley: I had the great fortune to take part in a quiz hosted by Jim at Notley Golf Club. Jim was in excellent form and so witty especially as we had Arsenal fans in our team.
Dave Mason: I was lucky enough, when eleven years old, in 1968 to see Jimmy play for Tottenham against Southampton. Unluckily for me as a Saints supporter, Spurs won 6-1. Jimmy scored twice and was brilliant. A day I will never forget.

Neil Kirby: Jimmy Greaves joined my club, West Ham, in 1970. He was supposedly a washed-up alcoholic, but you can watch his debut goal on a mudheap at Maine Road against Man City and see that he had tremendous feet, left and right; I'll never forget that match
Mike Payne: Such a sad day to learn of the passing of Jimmy Greaves. I watched him from the stands at White Hart lane on so very many occasions. There was a sense of anticipation whenever he had the ball. He never did disappoint. He was a god to me, RIP JIMMY!
Larry Upton: So sad about Jimmy Greaves. Saw him play for Spurs many times (and for England). In his later years I refereed him playing for Hornchurch - still a master then. He seemed to create space around him whenever he got the ball. RIP

RIP Jimmy Greaves. Legendary and charismatic striker. One of football’s great characters, blessed with supreme touch and skills, and that wonderful sense of humour.
Craig
RIP Jimmy Greaves, too young to have seen him, but my Dad always said he was right up there. His stats speak for themselves and from a generation never to be repeated. Proper players.
Russell, Hampshire
One of true greats of Football. Many many times I saw and admired him from the stands of White Hart Lane. A very sad day for sport.
Craig
RIP Jimmy. The greatest striker of all time. I first saw him play in 1962. That memory will stay with me for ever. Fitting that Spurs play Chelsea today. Let us all show some respect in and around the stadium
Tony (Spurs fan)
132 goals in 169 appearances for Chelsea. Our greatest ever youth product. Scored on his debut at Spurs. Later played for them. And Spurs play Chelsea today. What timing Jimmy! R.I.P.
Adrian, Lincolnshire
I saw Jimmy score his 300th goal at WHL v Burnley in 1968 with a header!!I loved his quote that he broke the jaws of several centre half's cos he was smaller than them and caught them under the chin. And a good lesson for today's strikers; he didn't hit fierce shots but just passed the ball into the net as if a team mate were standing inside the goal.

Thank you, Jimmy, for all those wonderful moments. The finest striker of them all.

Very sad news about Jimmy Greaves. As a 29 year old I've only seen a few clips of him back in his playing days, but I do remember growing up watching an old VHS tape of him presenting old football clips at my grandparents house. Must have worn that tape out watching it over and over! RIP Jimmy.
Jake in York
Lovely bloke. Did so much to inspire a whole new generation. Saint and Greavsie was the reason so many youngers got into football. What a gent. RIP
Shelboa
RIP Jimmy Greaves. The greatest goal scorer of all time. My childhood hero.
Stewart, Doncaster's
R.I.P to a legend of the game. I still to this day think that he should've played in 1966 world cup final. It would've been an absolute trouncing.
James
He was my boyhood hero when I first started going to Spurs matches in the late 1960's. One of Spurs greatest ever players, and I was privileged to see him play. RIP Jimmy.
John, North London
The word Legend is used freely, this man was a True Legend. RIP Jimmy.

Jimmy Greaves, who has died aged 81, will be remembered as a prodigy, pioneer and pundit as well as one of the greatest natural goalscorers English football has ever produced.
Greaves' glittering career at club level with Chelsea, AC Milan, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United was matched by his feats for England as he remains fourth in the list of all-time goalscorers behind Wayne Rooney, Sir Bobby Charlton and Gary Lineker with 44 goals in 57 games.
Despite this stellar record, he will be best remembered at international level for the crushing disappointment of missing England's 1966 World Cup final win over West Germany at Wembley after failing to regain his place from Sir Geoff Hurst following an injury. Hurst scored a hat-trick in England's 4-2 win.
After retiring from the game and overcoming alcoholism, Greaves forged a hugely successful broadcasting career that cemented his status as one of the game's most popular and enduring figures.
We have more Premier League action coming up but we received the sad news this morning that former England striker and Tottenham's record goalscorer Jimmy Greaves has died at the age of 81.
Greaves began his career with Chelsea before spells at AC Milan, Spurs and West Ham.
He scored 44 goals in 57 games for England and was a member of the 1966 World Cup-winning squad.
He holds the record for most goals in English top-flight football with 357, and scored 266 goals in 379 matches for Tottenham.
