Another defeat by Norwich, but an improved performance, and this quote from Canaries boss Daniel Farke pretty much sums it up.

He told Sky Sports: "It's not a situation where we will dance on the table, and it’s not a situation where we wave the white flag either."

    Brentford v Liverpool (17:30 BST)

Brentford could not have got off to a better start.

They have eight points from five matches - no promoted side has started a Premier League season that well and gone on to be relegated.

Only Chelsea, Manchester City and today's opponents Liverpool had conceded fewer than Brentford's two Premier League goals this season at the start of the day.

Jurgen Klopp's side remain unbeaten still and have conceded just one goal in their first five games for the first time since 1977.

They also have the longest current unbeaten run in England's top four divisions (15 matches).

Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers to BBC Sport: "We showed a really good reaction but conceded too early to go 2-1 behind. You have to give credit to Burnley and some of the blocks [they made].

"We didn't make the keeper work as much as we would have liked but we just failed to make the finish."

On Jamie Vardy: "He makes his runs and wonderful finishes. They made some great blocks to stop him from getting a hat-trick."

On Leicester's start: "It's six games. Of course we would have liked to have done better. When any team is confident you have a greater chance to succeed. There's lots for us to improve on."

Burnley will feel a bit aggrieved that they didn't win that game. I

It was unlucky that Cornet got injured and had to go off, because he was causing all sorts of problems. They played very well today in a Burnley style - really disruptive - and Leicester never got to grips with the game.

  7. 'We have to turn performances into wins'published at 17:22 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

    Burnley

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "We lost Jay Rodriguez to a hamstring injury [in training] but I thought Matej Vydra and Chris Wood were excellent. Maxwel Cornet had a good performance but we lost him to injury too."

On Cornet's injury: "We will wait and see, it's too early yet but I think it is his hamstring, yes."

On waiting for a first win: "We have to earn the right. I don't want to sound like a broken record, the performance was decent again. It's that balance - I'm aware of how the team is performing but you have to turn it into wins."

Brentford are hosting Liverpool in the league for the first time since 1947 and it's the first time the teams have met at all since 1989.

The hosts most recent competitive victory against Liverpool was the 2-1 win in the top-flight at Griffin Park in 1938.

Liverpool have scored four goals in each of the last three matches between the sides, all of which have come in cup competitions.

Brentford Community Stadium will be the 60th ground at which Liverpool have played a Premier League game.

Sean Longstaff speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "In the first half alone we should have been three or four goals in front. We had a lot of very good chances, more than we'll create in most games and it is very disappointing to come away with a point.

"We were excellent in the first half and we really dominated the game. It was the best we've played this season. In the second half, their fans were up and they were in the game, but we were creating much better chances. It is a disappointing day."

  10. 'I was never in doubt'published at 17:19 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

    FT: Leeds 1-2 West Ham

    West Ham United

West Ham goalscorer Michail Antonio tells Match of the Day: "That's one thing that Leeds make you do - run. Run and run and run until you can't run anymore. They are a quality team and you know it's going to be end-to-end and for a neutral it's always going to be an enjoyable game

"We always believe that we keep going and if we keep pushing and working hard we are going to create opportunities especially the way we play counter attacking football, But they also play counter attacking football so it's more like a basketball game than a football game and that's why you have to keep running and working hard for the team."

On his goal: "I was never in doubt to be fair. When it opened out for me one v one I had the whole goal to pick from. I always believe I will score especially in the form I am now. That's six in six, let's keep going and let's keep scoring."

Leicester over the past few seasons now have been very consistent with good performances, especially from Jamie Vardy at the front. They have also been solid at the back.

He had an indifferent day, he scores one in his own goal and then nicks a couple as well. He, however, is a player you can rely on. You can also rely on Leicester as a football club that that they will maybe get a top six, top eight finish again.

  14. Postpublished at 17:13 British Summer Time 25 September 2021

    FT: Leeds 1-2 West Ham

Michail Antonio says he doesn't think he fouled Illan Meslier in the move that saw Tomas Soucek's goal disallowed.

Not that it mattered too much in the end with Antonio scoring the winner.
