City have unsettled PSG, Lionel Messi is just drifting inside in that 10 position, very difficult to mark. City have had the possession, they've put PSG on the back foot but Jack Grealish is getting a bit frustrated, he doesn't feel like he's getting enough protection from the referee.

If he can get the ball in the penalty box more he will be much more effective.

    Mohamed Salah (60 mins)

    The main man again.

Curtis Jones slides it through to an unmarked Mohamed Salah in the box and he takes a touch before slotting it through the keeper's legs.

    It's so, so easy.

    PSG 1-0 Man City

Another lovely switch from City, Kyle Walker all the way across to Jack Grealish.

But they are doubling up on the midfielder again as Grealish manages to evade Achraf Hakimi but Ander Herrera gets back to block the shot.

    Real Madrid 0-1 Sheriff Tiraspol

Real Madrid are throwing everything at Sheriff Tiraspol, but the Moldovan champions are standing firm and clinging to the precious 1-0 advantage.

The 13-time European champions have controlled 74% possession and taken 15 shots... but they have nothing to show for their efforts.

Excellent save from Gianluigi Donnarumma, staying big to deny Kevin de Bruyne.

City continue to get joy in behind, this time Riyad Mahrez with the slide-rule pass through.

More changes for Porto. On comes Vitinha, formerly of Wolves, who replaces Matheus Uribe.

Wendell is ready to come on at some point too.

  9. CLOSE!published at 21:12 British Summer Time 28 September 2021

    Porto 0-2 Liverpool

This could get messy if Liverpool start putting these changes away.

Diogo Jota hammers one at the keeper on the half-volley. Sadio Mane then whizzes a ball across the middle but the flag's up for offside.

Nerves on his Champions League debut?

Gianluigi Donnarumma spills Kevin de Bruyne's cross into the box and Raheem Sterling almost closes in to convert, but Presnel Kimpembe is on hand to nudge the England forward off the ball and Donnarumma can gather at the second attempt.

    Porto 0-2 Liverpool

    Diogo Jota should score.

James Milner curls it in, it's touched back across the middle and Jota just needed to poke it first time past the keeper.

He tries to flick it over him instead and Diogo Costa manages to get enough on it to push it away. What a chance!

    PSG 1-0 Man City

    Michael Brown
Former Man City midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Man City have had more possession, more shots and more shots on target so that will please Pep Guardiola but ultimately you have to score and put your chances away. They've had several chances, it has been a great game.

    The space...

Sadio Mane doesn't even look when he slides it to his left for Andy Robertson.

He's got acres of space but smashes it straight at the keeper. Mohamed Salah wanted it in the middle.

Ohh what a ball from Joao Cancelo, defence-splitting and through to Raheem Sterling but the England international snatches at it with his weaker left foot and drags it wide.

That came within a few seconds of the restart.
