Borussia Dortmund were furious at Michael Oliver's decision to send off Mats Hummels for a foul on Antony.

"I have no idea how you can give a red card in that situation. I have no idea how a referee who is supposedly at Champions League level can make that decision," Hummels told DAZN.

"[Antony was] grossly unsporting. He's a great footballer, but he needs to learn to be a sportsman."

Manchester City have won their last nine home Champions League matches.

The only English side to have a longer home winning run in the competition are Manchester United between September 2006 and April 2008 (12 in a row).

Leipzig midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai on what Neymar said to him before the Hungarian scored his late penalty: "He asked me 'are you going to score?' I said 'yes'. He said 'are you sure?' I told him, ‘I never miss'."

Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak to Movistar Plus (via Uefa.com): "They scored two easy goals against us, which can’t happen. After two goals like that it’s difficult to come back, especially with a man less.

"So the feeling isn’t the best but I do think the team fought. We did all we could. In the end we lost 2-0 but it’s still open [the group]. We depend on ourselves and we have to win the two games to come."

Club Bruges midfielder Ruud Vormer: "Of course we got a beating here, we got beaten 4-1, but we created chances and we did that much less in the home game.

"You know that City are in a class of their own so we can be proud. Some big clubs even lose 5-0 here. No, we have done well."

Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola to BT Sport: "Fully deserved. In the first few minutes we scored a goal but after conceding we dropped a little bit.

"The second half was really good. A good game, good victory. We need one point to go through, three points to win the group."

On Leipzig helping them out with a late goal against PSG: "We help each other. What we've done these years... when you're at Manchester City, you realise nobody will help you. Everything to do, we've done it. When you're in high ranking and big clubs, I understand maybe. Here no. Whe we win, we do it.

"All the titles I won before were because I was at big clubs. Absolutely, the pleasure is higher [in winning things with City]. The fight to win the hierarchy in the Premier League is good.

"Every game is tough. They changed the shape we played in Belgium.

"We played really good football. I liked how we played."

Liverpool

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold speaking to BT Sport: "It was an important one for us. Every game is important but we stuck to our gameplan. We got those early goals. We have learnt our lesson from Madrid when we were 2-0 up. We were able to see it through and dominate the game.

"We know what type of team they are. They like to suck you in to their way of playing but we kept the ball, kept it moving quickly and scored two very good goals.

"Me and Mohamed Salah have a really good understanding at the moment and Jordan Henderson pushing up with Fabinho back in the team was a big help for us. We tried to get on the ball and create things. With the form our good players are in, we just tried to get the ball to them and I think we did that."

The PSG game still feels like a big game for Man City to decide who will finish first or second in the group. But there's something about PSG - they've not been at their absolute best, they're kind of hanging on.

When you look at the game today as well - Leipzig missed a penalty, they had more possession and more shots - and that's against a PSG side that are heavily favoured to be the champions of this whole tournament. It's going to make for a very good and interesting game.

The nature of this City team is that they try and focus on one game at a time - for them the derby is a big game and they want to win that game but they will just be trying to think about that one game at a time.

Liverpool

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp to BT Sport: "In the second half of course, that's how it is. We lost a player through injury with Roberto Firmino. People want to see more goals but we did create more chances. I think the game was nearly perfect.

"We scored the goals in the right moments. They were much more on the front-foot with how they started than the home game but we started well. They were fantastic finishes as well, especially Sadio Mane. With the red card, well, you don't like that, you don't want to play against 10 men but in the end it's 2-0 and it was a great night.

"The referee was [in control] but I really hate the moment when I had to take off Sadio Mane. You could see that every challenge in the air, you don't know what could happen. I didn't like it but in the end, you have to do it.

"You earn a lot of money to win Champions League games! The first target was to get through this group. But we did it with two games to go. What can we do? We will have to see. I didn't expect we would be through after four games but the boys did it and it's really well deserved."

Club Bruges' 20-year-old Belgium international Charles de Ketelaere: "We played along with Manchester City in the beginning and showed a good reaction in the first half with that equaliser.

"After that they didn't really create good chances any more in the first half. But yes, in the second half they kept putting pressure on.

"Our performance was solid but of course you never come to lose 4-1. It is now up to us to show that we deserve a place in the Europa League."

Liverpool just approach these games right - they look very organised and professional. The spine of the side is very strong and very experienced. Fabinho and Jordan Henderson bring experience, while Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane up top and the two centre-halves make it look easy.

I do believe that Atletico played into Liverpool's hands tonight. They were very up for it - which is the right way to be - but not in a footballing sense. They were quite aggressive, got themselves lots of yellow cards and a red card.

Alisson didn't have to make a single save tonight.

Manchester City

Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte to BT Sport: "It was tough. We're very happy with the result.

"It's always difficult in the Champions League. Club Bruges are a good team. They gave us a lot of difficulties.

"I'm very happy to play alongside John [Stones]. We've known each other a long time and we're happy to play together. There isn't many times we play in the same game.

"I'm happy today for the win."

I thought Man City looked okay in the first half but they encouraged Club Bruges a little bit. The way they started the second half, putting Bruges on the back foot, set the tone for the game.

Phil Foden was running channels and getting himself into the six-yard box.

He's such a big part of this City attack. He's so dynamic. When he's on the ball and making those runs in behind, he just changes the pace of the game altogether.

Manchester City have flown to the top of Group A thanks to that late Leipzig leveller against PSG.

City are one point above PSG. That was Leipzig's first point of the group.

Liverpool have won their opening four matches of a Champions League season for the first time.

It's also their fourth successive win in the Champions League for the first time since March 2009.
