N'Golo Kante's error led to the break. Rudiger lets him know about it too.

Such a shame for Marcos Alonso that the ball rolled and just flicked his hand like that. It was a stonking finish that followed.

It is the tiniest touch of the hand that Alonso uses to control the ball. I'm not sure he had any choice as the ball rolled up his body.

Regardless, it is back to 3-3 in the tie.

So they are checking to see if Marcos Alonso has used his hand to control the ball after his initial cross had been blocked. He lashed his follow-up in but it might not matter.

Dani Carvahal cuts back a cross to the back of the Chelsea box to where Fede Valverde is arriving for a shot that flies just over.

Thomas Muller lifts a chance over the bar from 10 yards. You'd have fancied him but he was under just enough pressure so as not to be able to concentrate on his finish.

Villarreal need to somehow stop this flow. Every time the ball is with a yellow shirt there's a wave of red just hounding it back.

Real's best move of the night sees them create an opening down the left for Ferland Mendy but his low ball flies in front of two team-mates in the box, including Karim Benzema.
