I just get the feeling Chelsea have slowed down and are starting to play at Real Madrid's tempo which is suiting Real. Chelsea need to see this first half through now because it has been a great half.

Timo Werner is shoved over by Toni Kroos. Free-kick. It is 35-40 yards from goal. Optimistic to have a pop from there?

Arnaut Danjuma is in for Villarreal, racing through the inside-left channel. Two touches and a swing with the left foot... well wide.

He will hope he was offside as that was a proper sight of goal.

The replay shows he might have been a fraction off had they started drawing their lines on the pitch.

Loftus-Cheek needs a bit of treatment after that. Looks like it is mainly because of his landing. He's a big lad and he went down hard.

Chelsea's turn to be upset. Ruben Loftus-Cheek charges away down the right and is taken down amidst a tangle of legs with Vinicius Jr. The ref waves play on and Thomas Tuchel does another little leap of frustration.
