Villarreal are so much slicker in possession at the moment. They work the ball from keeper to Gerard Moreno in three passes. The forward has gone too early, though, and the offside flag goes up.

Thiago bossed the game at Anfield last week. He's not getting a second to breathe, let alone pick a telling pass here.

Such a tepid start. Liverpool are lacking quality when they get on the ball. The standards are so high as of late but this isn't the Liverpool we've seen in the recent past.

Thiago does nothing to silence the crowd by sending a pass straight out of play.

What Villarreal are doing is getting the ball wide and putting in early crosses and loading the box. They're going for this.
