If he meant it, it's brilliant from Mislav Orsic as West Ham's inexperienced defence is breached after only four minutes.

David Moyes will be furious with the lack of closing down from the throw-in on the left flank and Orsic, unchallenged and at the corner of the penalty area, curled it in the top corner.

The away team's substitutes clearly thought he meant it, sprinting from the bench to mob the goalscorer.

Vitesse have taken an early lead against Mura in the Europa Conference League.

If they win, that would mean Spurs would need to beat Rennes to qualify for the knockout stages. Whenever that game happens.

I bet Daniel Stefulj didn't think he was going to get an assist when he took that throw-in.

That shot was from near the spot Arthur Masuaku scored West Ham's winner against Chelsea - but this was intentional.

    Boom. What a goal!

Mislav Orsic receives a Daniel Stefulj throw-in, cuts inside and hits an unbelievable swerving shot from the left wing which flies over the head of Alphonse Areola and goes in off the inside of the post.

West Ham call themselves The Academy of Football and their under-23s are currently top of Premier League 2, with Tottenham second, Arsenal third and Manchester City fourth.

Now they get a chance to show David Moyes what they can do. Five of the starting XI are aged 20 or under, with another three subs also 20 or under.

A real chance to make a name for yourself tonight.

  16. 'Dinamo are a huge European club'published at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 9 December 2021

West Ham v Dinamo Zagreb (20:00 GMT)

West Ham boss David Moyes: “I believe that Dinamo are a huge European club with a great history and you only have to see the results against Tottenham last season for how good a team they are.

“I see it as being a big game, a big opponent, big history and we need a big performance to get another result.

“We understand what it means to the group and we want to get through unbeaten, we want to try to get three points and keep the momentum going.”

West Ham v Dinamo Zagreb (20:00 GMT)

West Ham’s 2-0 victory in Croatia in the first group game is the only previous meeting between these sides.

The Hammers have won 19 of their 27 home matches in European competition (drawn three, lost five), boasting a 70% win rate. The Hammers could win three home matches in a single European campaign for the third time (three in 1964-65, four in 1975-76).

No player has provided more assists (three) than West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell in the Europa League this season, while he is also the only player with multiple assists directly from set plays (two).
