West Ham boss David Moyes speaking to BT Sport: " I thought Nikola Vlasic had a great chance in the first half and Manuel Lanzini had a great chance in the second half.

"I don't think you come to these places and get loads of chances. You get two, three or four and you have to take some of them. Our finishing at the moment has not been the best and it is costing us at the moment.

On the second leg: "We'll be there, we'll all be ready, and we'll give it everything we can to get through. We are in a really good position and can still get through comfortably."

West Ham captain Declan Rice speaking to BT Sport: "Disappointed. We probably had the two best chances of the game one and a couple of other little ones as well we could have scored. We knew it would be a tough game but there really are a lot of positives for us to take from tonight.

"It is good we are creating chances but in these big games we need to take them. Just gutted that we could not get something from the game.

"All our heads are still up. With that lot behind us at our own stadium we are going to give it a real go. We have the belief we can still win."

There was some shared sadness between West Ham and Leicester this week with the news that formers Hammers player and Foxes manager Frank O'Farrell had died at the age of 94.

"A principled, softly-spoken, genial man who was liked and respected by all who knew him well, O'Farrell was the oldest living former West Ham player prior to his passing on Sunday morning at the age of 94 years and five months," said West Ham in a statement.

"Everyone at West Ham United would like to express their sincere condolences to Frank's family and friends at this sad time."

There are goals elsewhere tonight. In the Europa League (not Conference), Atalanta lead Bayer Leverkusen 2-1, Braga are 1-0 up on Monaco and at Ibrox, Rangers lead 2-0 against Red Star Belgrade.

At the Nou Camp, it is 0-0 between Barcelona and Galatasaray.

Brendan Rodgers and Leicester will be pleased at the way they overcame early issues and then took control of the game.

It remains a slender lead, but the Foxes are in the ascendancy.

Chance! To Rennes!

They get in down the left and Jeremy Doku's low cross is set up for Jonas Martin in the box. He messes it up, though, get right under the ball and lifting it over the bar.

That could have changed the mood.

Rennes' first dart into Leicester territory in a while comes to nothing as a cross to the far side of the box, where Jeremy Doku is lurking, skips past the winger and out of play.

Five minutes to go until the break. Leicester firmly on top now.

Rennes could do with the break to reconsider things.

Leicester are posing regular problems for Rennes now, mainly down the left side of Harvey Barnes. Keirnan Dewsbury-Hall is getting stuck in too.

Still no goals in the game between Barcelona and Galatasaray. Atalanta are 2-1 up against Bayer Leverkusen, though. Goals from Ruslan Malinovsky andf Luis Muriel have turned the game the Italian side's way.

Harvey Barnes is taken down wide left and the man responsible - Hamari Traore - is booked. That must be for repeated offences. Barnes will be licking his lips at going up against him for the rest of the game.

There is a lot of noise in this ground now. It was all a bit nervy, but now there's belief coursing through the stands.

The Foxes have had to dig in at times in that opening 30 minutes, but they have something to build on now. Big goal.

Leicester crank up the pressure a bit with a couple of corners. The second sees the ball flicked wide at the near post, but off a Leicester man. Better, though, from the Foxes.

Marc Albrighton's cross is flicked behind for a corner. Harvey Barnes was lurking.

Leicester having a much better spell now. They're controlling more of the game. Still yet to carve out a really good chance, though. Patson Daka is trying to make those Jamie Vardy-like runs behind.
