And here is Malo Gusto, receiving the ball out wide and whipping in a cross that should be converted by Karl Toko Ekambi. The Lyon player doesn't seem to expect it to reach him though and so when it does he can only poke it tamely into Alphonse Areola's grasp with his hip.

Malo Gusto is the Lyon right-back but he has spent much of this game operating essentially as winger. Such a useful attacking weapon.

I'm not quite sure how West Ham got away with that one. Fornals was beaten far too easily. Dawson's position was all wrong.

There was a couple of swings and misses from the Lyon players before West Ham finally got it away.
