Lyon 0-0 West Ham (Agg: 1-1)

And here is Malo Gusto, receiving the ball out wide and whipping in a cross that should be converted by Karl Toko Ekambi. The Lyon player doesn't seem to expect it to reach him though and so when it does he can only poke it tamely into Alphonse Areola's grasp with his hip.

Lyon 0-0 West Ham (Agg: 1-1)

Malo Gusto is the Lyon right-back but he has spent much of this game operating essentially as winger. Such a useful attacking weapon.

Lyon 0-0 West Ham (Agg: 1-1)

It is clear from this opening 25 minutes that both sides have the attacking tools to hurt each other.

Lyon 0-0 West Ham (Agg: 1-1)

    Massive chance for West Ham!

Michail Antonio does brilliantly to work his way into a crossing opportunity on the left. His delivery is brilliant, to the back post where Jarrod Bowen is waiting.

The West Ham forward is forced to just stretch a bit and fails to steer his volley on target.

Best opportunity so far for the Hammers.

It's being played at a ridiculous tempo. Both teams are really going at it.

Diop does just that, rising highest to head away the delivery into the box.

Lyon 0-0 West Ham (Agg: 1-1)

Issa Diop is the first man in the book for a late sliding tackle on Moussa Dembele on the right, deep in West Ham territory.

He now has the best part of 70 minutes to remain squeaky clean. First, though, he needs to help defend this free-kick...

    Barcelona 0-1 Frankfurt (1-2 agg)

Barcelona are piling on the pressure to get back into this one. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has headed over from close range for Xavi's side and the Nou Camp is rocking, but it is Eintracht Frankfurt who lead.

  9. Postpublished at 21 mins

Lyon 0-0 West Ham (Agg: 1-1)

The Lyon chances to continue to rain down on the West Ham goal.

Moussa Dembele is first to a low cross from the right, flicks the ball up and volleys an effort that is blocked.

Lyon 0-0 West Ham (Agg: 1-1)

West Ham almost get themselves in bother as a forward pass is blocked by a pressing Lyon man. The ball loops into the box and threatens to drop the home side's way until Craig Dawson gets a foot in and is fouled.

  11. Postpublished at 18 mins

Lyon 0-0 West Ham (Agg: 1-1)

It is all a bit frantic as West Ham look to fight fire with fire in the middle of the pitch.

The Hammers win out and set up an attack that ends with Pablo Fornals firing an effort on target that is saved by Julian Pollersbeck.

Lyon have been on top, but West Ham pose a threat going forward.

Karl Toko Ekambi looks very much in the mood here. He is giving Vladimir Coufal a real test on the West Ham right.

Thee are tough times for David Moyes' men.

Issa Diop has to pout a fine defensive header to stop Moussa Dembele meeting a cross in the box.

The Hammers need to batten down the hatches. Ride out the storm.

Surely fate that we play Eintracht Frankfurt in the semi-finals, as we did in Cup Winners Cup in 1976, best European night at Upton Park ever?

Lyon continue to turn the screw.

Another cross from the right floats through the box, too far ahead of Moussa Dembele.

    Nervy times for the Hammers.

    It's a huge chance.

I'm not quite sure how West Ham got away with that one. Fornals was beaten far too easily. Dawson's position was all wrong.

There was a couple of swings and misses from the Lyon players before West Ham finally got it away.

We are on for some game here.

RE post at 20:05. One of our biggest games since then for sure, but could argue the Playoff win in 2012 was bigger than this due to what was at stake, especially financially.

Last gasp defending to keep Lyon out!

A cross from the right fires between keeper and defence. It bounces off Vladimir Coufal and drops to Moussa Dembele or Houssem Aouar but a combination of the Hammers full-back and Craig Dawson keeps the scrambled shot out.

There is a check for a possible handball but not given.

    Oh, Lanzini again.

This time it is he charging in to the box to try and meet a cross from the right from Vladimir Coufal. He is just beaten in the air.

West Ham edging into the game.
