    Phil: It does feel like Christmas finally heading to back to Valley Parade. 532 days since my last visit. Excited to see some familiar faces and also to soak up the atmosphere with the 17k plus expected. Back to normality at last!

    Blackburn may have lost Adam Armstrong to Premier League side Southampton this week, but they fared pretty well in their season opener against Swansea last week.

    They registered more shots (21) and more shots on target (10) in their win against the Swans than any other side in the Championship last week.

    The last time Blackpool hosted Cardiff in their first home game of the season was back in 2009-10.

    On that day it ended up in a 1-1 draw but that season was memorable for both sides.

    They faced each other again on a scorching day at Wembley in the Championship play-off final at the end of that campaign, with Blackpool sealing a memorable win on their way to promotion to the Premier League.
