    Derby 0-0 Middlesbrough

Derby are doing well against Middlesbrough as this game begins to warm up.

Graeme Shinnie plays Ravel Morrison through as he looks to tee up Nathan Byrne on the attack and the Rams end up winning a corner.

It's sent into the box and Sam Baldock goes down as he tries to get on the end of it but the referee waves away their protests for a penalty.

    Cardiff 0-0 Millwall

Good block by Cardiff defender Curtis Nelson stops Benik Afobe's shot reaching the target.

The last seven meetings between the Bluebirds and the Lions have all ended in draws.

The south-east Londoners last won in Cardiff in February 2005.

GOAL: Luton 0-1 Birminghampublished at 15:09 British Summer Time 21 August 2021

    Marc Roberts (7 mins)

That's a proper centre-back's header to put Birmingham ahead at Kenilworth Road.

Marc Roberts rises above his marker from a corner to nod in - Luton have been poor at defending set-pieces all season so far.

Moments earlier the hosts thought they were ahead but Tom Lockyer's header was excellently saved by Matija Sarkic.

    Fulham 0-0 Hull

Fulham left-back Antonee Robinson has caused a couple of early issues for the Hull defence.

First a cross is headed away to Josh Onomah, who volleys wide from outside the box.

Then Jacob Greaves makes a vital interception to stop another centre getting to a Fulham player.

  5. CLOSE!published at 15:07 British Summer Time 21 August 2021

    Stoke 0-0 Nottm Forest

Stoke full-back Tommy Smith has also already equaled his Championship assist tally from last season with three in three games, and he almost opens his goal account there.

He sneaks around the back and when the ball reaches him he volleys just wide.

Lively start between Bournemouth and Blackpool with both sides seeing chances in the early stages.

Blackpool do well to attack against the Cherries but the hosts fight back and break on the counter.

Jordan Zemura shoots goalbound but it's deflected away for a corner.

    Fulham 0-0 Hull

Fulham boss Marco Silva has name an unchanged XI for the match against his former club.

And why wouldn't he? The Whites were very impressive in their 2-1 win at Millwall in midweek before a late rally from the Lions.

Fabio Carvalho starred at The Den, with the teenager scoring one and setting up the other.

Hull make one change from their defeat at Derby, with Di'Shon Bernard coming into their defence.

The Tigers won on their last trip to Craven Cottage in 2019, but haven't won back-to-back away league games at Fulham since 1911.

GOAL: Rotherham 0-2 Sheff Wedpublished at 14:57 British Summer Time 21 August 2021

    Lee Gregory (77 mins)

Have Sheffield Wednesday just wrapped up the win against Rotherham?

Well they've doubled their lead and it's come courtesy of Lee Gregory, who fires in after Millers keeper Viktor Johansson spills Dennis Adeniran's initial shot.

Surely too much work to do with too little time for Rotherham now.

Unbeaten Cardiff - fresh from Aden Flint's 96th-minute equaliser at Peterborough on Tuesday - host a Millwall side still searching for a first Championship win of the season.

Reading's three league games have contained 13 goals - they go to a Coventry side, led by Mark Robins, who edged past Blackpool on Tuesday.

Derby and Middlesbrough meet at Pride Park with both on four points, though it's Wayne Rooney's Rams who will have their tails up after their first win in midweek against Hull.

Elsewhere, Luton host Birmingham while Preston go in search of their first point against newly promoted Peterborough.

Both these sides start the day unbeaten and with seven points from their opening three Championship games.

Blackburn scored a late winner at Nottingham Forest in midweek and seem to have taken the loss of star striker Adam Armstrong in their stride, with Chile forward Ben Brereton looking keen to step up.

Meanwhile West Brom, managed by Valerien Ismael, battered fellow relegated Premier League side Sheffield United 4-0 on Wednesday and look like being one of the league's entertainers this season.

Stoke v Nottm Forest (15:00 BST)

Sam Surridge celebratesImage source, Rex Features

Stoke City are unbeaten this season in their four games across all competitions, with forwards Nick Powell and Sam Surridge forming a promising partnership in attack.

Chris Hughton's Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, are one of two sides yet to register a point having lost all three of their Championship matches 2-1.

Both meetings between these sides ended 1-1 last season, while Hughton has drawn his past five league meetings with the Potters - is that where we're heading again this afternoon?

In the third tier, there's plenty of action to get stuck into this afternoon.

Rotherham and Sheffield Wednesday got things going in their lunchtime kick-off - Darren Moore's Owls lead 1-0 with around 20 minutes left.

Elsewhere, at the top of the table, Portsmouth travel to out-of-form Doncaster while second-placed Burton also aim to maintain their 100% start to the season as they face Cambridge.

Meanwhile, bottom side Shrewsbury welcome Plymouth hoping to pick up their first points of the season, with Fleetwood also hoping to get off the mark when they take on Cheltenham.

  18. Silva takes on old club Hullpublished at 14:44 British Summer Time 21 August 2021

    Fulham v Hull (15:00 BST)

    Marco SilvaImage source, Getty Images

Life under Marco Silva has started well for Fulham, who are one of the cluster of sides who started the day on seven points from their opening three league games.

Aleksandar Mitrovic seems able to flick a switch and score at this level, while 18-year-old playmaker Fabio Carvalho already has two goals and an assist to his name.

Hull could've been forgiven for getting carried away after their opening-day 4-1 triumph at Preston but it's been hard going since - an EFL Cup exit to Wigan and home defeats by QPR and Hull show that the step up from League One isn't an easy one.

Sheff Utd v Huddersfield (15:00 BST)

What is going on at Sheffield United? It's early days but they've failed to score in the opening three Championship games despite being managed by Slavisa Jokanovic, who has twice won promotion from this level with Watford and Fulham.

The Blades were bullied at West Brom in midweek and have since lost goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale to Arsenal in a deal worth an initial £24m.

Huddersfield responded to a 5-1 thrashing by Fulham with victory over Preston on Tuesday but have not won back-to-back league matches since December.

The Terriers did however triumph when these sides last met, winning on penalties in the 2011-12 League One play-off final.

  20. League Two previewpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 21 August 2021

    #bbcefl

League leaders Forest Green will hope to keep up their winning run this season as they welcome Crawley to the New Lawn.

But one of the picks of the day in League Two will see third-placed Mansfield take on fellow unbeaten side Bradford, with the Bantams currently occupying second place.

Meanwhile, Oldham are in a horrendous run of form at the minute and prop up the table with three losses from three this season. They take on fellow winless side Colchester hoping to overturn their dismal run.

Rochdale, whose takeover was halted by the EFL earlier today, travel to Northampton today hoping to get their first win of the campaign, however the Cobblers have won two from two this term.
