    Postecoglou has had to repeatedly use this kind of language to say 'I need players' - although tonight has been stronger than before. Brendan Rodgers went down this road too. It's a very interesting dynamic as he calls the board out in public.

    "I knew it was a challenge. I knew it wouldn't be a case of just tinkering but that's why I saw it as an opportunity for me."

    Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou does not think an early exit from the Champions League will make luring new players to Glasgow any trickier than it has been.

    "I think I've been pretty consistent in saying we need new players and the club is working hard to get those players in," he explains.

    "Our supporters just want to see us bring in the reinforcements we need and I need to keep reinforcing my views on it as strongly as I possibly can.

    "The targets we had yesterday will be the same tomorrow.

    "I've made my position on exits clear. Anyone who doesn't want to be here is welcome to go. I'm not going to waste too much time thinking about that."
