  1. RED CARD FOR FOREST GREENpublished at 21:30 British Summer Time 24 August 2021

    Brentford 2-1 Forest Green

It's all falling apart now for the visitors.

Ebou Adams is shown a straight red card for a late, sliding tackle in the middle of the pitch on Vitaly Janelt.

That makes the Bees' job a lot easier to see this out.

  2. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 24 August 2021

    Cardiff 0-2 Brighton

Brighton bring on 16-year-old Irishman Evan Ferguson.

He played in a pre-season friendly against Chelsea at the age of 14 when he was at Bohemians.

    Barrow 0-5 Aston Villa

There's been a few ugly tackles from frustrated Barrow players in the past few minutes.

Patrick Brough is the latest in the book for a really, really poor tackle from behind on Freddie Guilbert.

The Frenchman makes way for youngster Hayden Lindley for the last few minutes.

As I said earlier, this could be the last time Guilbert plays for Villa with a pre-deadline day departure likely.

Another three quick goals to bring you!

Billy Sharp has put Sheffield United 2-1 up against Derby after rounding Rams goalkeeper Ryan Allsop to slide into an empty net.

Rochdale have scored two goals in nine minutes, with Danny Cashman doubling their lead over Shrewsbury.

And there's a big goal for Stevenage, as Jamie Reid puts the League Two side 2-1 up against their League One opponents Wycombe.

    Heartbreak for Forest Green!

Bryan Mbuemo has made a real difference this half. He is there to nod in near the back post and put Brentford in charge.

From 1-0 down to 2-1 up.

    Kalvin Phillips

    Yorkshire Pirlo!

Kalvin Phillios finally makes the breakthrough for Leeds, finishing into the bottom corner from a flicked-on corner.

  7. goal

GOAL - Huddersfield 1-2 Evertonpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 24 August 2021

    Andros Townsend (80 mins)

Ten-man Everton are back in front!

Some neat play down the left from the visitors and Andre Gomes gets to the byline before firing a ball into the six-yard box. Andros Townsend meets it in the middle and thumps a left-footed effort into the roof of the net.

The away fans are loving that!

  8. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 24 August 2021

    Huddersfield 1-1 Everton

Rafa Benitez is going for it. His side are down to 10 men but they've just thrown on winger Demarai Gray - who scored against Leeds on Saturday - in place of defender Niels Nkounkou.

    How has Bryan Mbeumo missed?

He wins the ball, gets past the last man but puts his shot wide of the post. A golden chance for the Bees.

    Watford 0-0 Crystal Palace

From the corner, Cheikhou Kouyate chests it down and hammers it over from about eight yards out. Should have done better really.

    Watford 0-0 Crystal Palace

Chance for Christian Benteke for Palace. He gets it on the right, touches it past a defender and then hammers in a shot but it's saved by Ben Foster.

    Freddie Guilbert (75 mins)

    That is quite the finish.

Youngster Jaden Philogene-Bidace is in on goal but Barrow keeper Paul Farman races from his line to deny him

The ball breaks to full-back Freddie Guilbert and the Frenchman cuts on to his weaker left foot and smashes it into the back of the net from 18 yards.

He could well be moved out before the transfer deadline day and if this is his last game for Villa then he's gone out in style.

Quite a lot of games currently level. Remember that there is no extra-time in these ties. They'll go straight to a penalty shoot-out.

    Nice moment here.

Aston Villa take off 17-year-old Carney Chukwuemeka and give a debut to... his brother Caleb.

    Huddersfield 1-1 Everton

The hosts have made a double change, with Tom Lees and Danel Sinani heading off for Lewis O'Brien and Oliver Turton. Just under 20 minutes for Huddersfield to try and make that extra man count...

  17. goal

GOAL - Nottingham Forest 0-2 Wolvespublished at 21:16 British Summer Time 24 August 2021

    Daniel Podence (60 mins)

    That escalated quickly.

Wolves score twice in two minutes and this might be game over. Fabio Silva surges down the right and picks out Daniel Podence. His first touch takes him past a defender and he slots home casually.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:15 British Summer Time 24 August 2021

    Leeds 0-0 Crewe

Rodrigo's final act is to collect a pass from Tyler Roberts and fire wide.

    Morecambe's comeback didn't last long.

Preston have re-taken the lead against the Shrimps through Ryan Ledson and it's an absolute beauty. He hits it on the half volley and into the top corner as the visitors lead 3-2.

In other news, Jake Beesley has scored from the penalty spot to put Rochdale 1-0 up at Shrewsbury.
