  1. 'Man Utd need to move the ball faster'published at 16:22 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Leicester 1-1 Man Utd

    Alan Hutton
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Defensively, Man Utd are causing a lot of their own problems. They are holding onto the ball in silly areas and they know Leicester are just going to press them. Vardy and Iheanacho are on them instantly so they need to move the ball fast.

United threaten on the break but Aaron Wan-Bissaka's cross is straight at Kasper Schmeichel.

    That's poor.

James Agar: At this rate OGS's managerial career at MUFC is not going to last much longer.

Hossam Ashraf: OGS is clueless, so lucky to land such a job and so lucky to get that much support, another season will be wasted

    Man City 1-0 Burnley

Matthew Lowton keeps it in play on the right. He drills it low across the six-yard area, Ashley Barnes gets a touch on at the near post but it won't come to Chris Wood! Close...

    Southampton 1-0 Leeds United

Signs of life from Leeds. Attacking threat has been sparse but Jack Harrison is trying his best to offer some.

A wicked low cross from the left is parried out by Alex McCarthy before a run from the top-knotted winger is blocked by a wall of red-and-white shirts.

  6. CLOSE!published at 16:19 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Man City 1-0 Burnley

Kevin de Bruyne scoops it into the middle. Nathan Ake and John Stones are both waiting for it at the back post but Nick Pope gets a strong hand on it.

The second corner is played short, whipped across the box and Aymeric Laporte smashes it over the bar!

    Leicester 1-1 Man Utd

    Alan Hutton
Former Scotland defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think both teams have had a word with each other and decided 'lets all go for the worldies today'.

  9. CLOSE!published at 16:18 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Man City 1-0 Burnley

A huge chance for Ashley Barnes just seconds after coming on but it's straight at Zack Steffen. That would have been some introduction!

  10. Postpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Leicester 1-1 Man Utd

Belgium international Youri Tielemans looking for another but this is not a great effort, shanked well wide.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Southampton 1- 0 Leeds United

A change for Ralph Hasenhuttl. On the pitch, not sartorially.

Scotland midfielder Stuart Armstrong comes on for his first appearance of the season after injury, replacing Moussa Djenepo.

Saints looking to kill this game and earn that first PL win of the season.

  12. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:17 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Norwich 0-0 Brighton

Tariq Lamptey is making his first appearance in 10 months after recovering from injury.

So great to see him back! It's Joel Veltman who goes off.

  13. Postpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Leicester 1-1 Man Utd

Nemanja Matic has been late on James Maddison at least three times in this game now.

The next one will surely lead to a booking.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:16 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Man City 1-0 Burnley

Ashley Barnes is on. Maxwel Cornet is off. An injury perhaps? He's been sharp for Burnley today.

  15. CLOSE!published at 16:15 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Leicester 1-1 Man Utd

This would have been another magnificent goal.

Leicester fail to clear properly and it drops for Nemanja Matic 25 yards out.

The Serbian has only one thing in his mind, lashing a first-time, left-footed strike which drifts inches over the crossbar.

    Man City 1-0 Burnley

City are creating chances but too often it's a little slow. It's moved from left to right across the box before Joao Cancelo's shot is blocked.

They then win a corner on the right and John Stones jogs up to get in on the action.

  17. Postpublished at 16:15 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Southampton 1- 0 Leeds United

Up until that Saints opener, the most eye-catching thing of the whole afternoon had been Ralph Hasenhuttl's tie.

Red and green tartan number if you're interested. The sort which your dad would have been presented with on a golf trip in the 1980s.

More importantly, Armando Broja was injured after landing heavily just before he whacked in the goal but is back up and running.

  18. 'McGinn is a jewel'published at 16:14 British Summer Time 16 October 2021

    Aston Villa 1-0 Wolves

    Martin Keown
Former England defender on BBC One

John McGinn is a jewel, he always seems to come out with the ball. Danny Ings is the only one gambling on this. He gets in-between two defenders and just slots it beautifully.

Those goals are so valuable from Ings - he just calms them down when they need it most. A great early start for Villa.
