    Arsenal 1-1 Crystal Palace

Arsenal have burst back into life now Palace have equalised and they are showing that same attacking intent they had for the first 15 minutes or so.

Emile Smith Rowe turns well inside the area but then runs straight into Joachim Andersen.

  2. goal

GOAL - Arsenal 1-1 Crystal Palacepublished at 50 mins

    Christian Benteke

Great finish, but a terrible mistake by Arsenal!

Thomas Partey is caught in possession by Jordan Ayew and the ball spills out to Christian Benteke, who gets into the box, works a bit of space and then rifles a superb strike into the bottom corner.

There were plenty of warning shots for Arsenal at the end of the first half. The away end is bouncing.

    Arsenal 1-0 Crystal Palace

Oooh what a goal this would have been!

Thomas Partey is more than 30 yards out and spots an opportunity to shoot. It seems ambitious but there's real venom behind the shot and Vicente Guaita is scrambling but the ball flies just wide of the upright.

    Close.

  4. KICK-OFFpublished at 46 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Crystal Palace

Both teams are back out on the pitch and there's a change for Arsenal as Albert Sambi Lokonga replaces Bukayo Saka, who was caught by that rash and wild challenge by James McArthur just before half time.

    We are back under way.

Arsenal made a good start but Palace controlled the half in the main. Ramsdale made a really important save at the end. I think Arsenal need to regroup and Vieira will be saying "well played guys but we need that final ball".

    And that is half time.

If Palace could pass well in the final third they'd have created so many more chances against a poor Arsenal side.

Inviting cross by Jordan Ayew which fizzes across the face of Arsenal's goal but just out of Christian Benteke's reach.

Crystal Palace are finishing this half the better side.

  14. Postpublished at 45 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have a corner as the clock hits 45 minutes, could the visitors double the amount of goals they have scored in a first half this season?

The delivery is knocked on to James McArthur, who is denied from point blank but was offside.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 42 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Crystal Palace

But now James McArthur is booked as he swings a very wild boot at Bukayo Saka's leg.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 41 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Crystal Palace

Jordan Ayew is clipped by Bukayo Saka and Mike Dean immediately shows the game's first yellow card. The home fans are not happy with that one, particularly after James McArthur was not booked earlier.

Five minutes to go until the break and Arsenal will welcome the half-time whistle. After a brilliant start they have sat back more and more since scoring and the crowd are getting just a touch restless.

The problem with Arsenal is, they started a lot BETTER than Arsenal usually do in the first 10 minutes, but since then, they've played like Arsenal, and that's a problem if they want to win the game... Palace are WELL in this game

  19. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Crystal Palace

Lovely stuff from Emile Smith Rowe as he pinches the ball off Odsonne Edouard then knocks it past James McArthur to break up the pitch. He's fouled by a retreating McArthur, advantage is played but unfortunately for Arsenal nothing comes from it.

It has helped to relieve that bit of pressure the home side were under, however.

  20. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Arsenal 1-0 Crystal Palace

A heavy touch by Thomas Partey and Tyrick Mitchell is onto the loose ball. He gets into the area, cuts the ball back for Odsonne Edouard, who leans back too much as he shoots and fires over the bar.
