The sun is beating down on Alisson's goal. Did the Liverpool keeper see Enock Mwepu's long-range attempt? Great goal nevertheless.

    Newcastle 0-0 Chelsea

    Neil Lennon
Former Celtic manager on BBC Radio 5 Live

We have seen this game played in one half of the pitch basically. There has been no ambition from Newcastle.

They had one great opportunity early on and apart from that they haven't kept the ball well enough. It has been backs-to-the-wall stuff.

Hakim Ziyech fires a free-kick from range over the bar. Karl Darlow dives but he doesn't need to make a touch.

  9. Can Palace hang on?published at 15:45 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    Man City 0-1 Crystal Palace

    Simon Stone
BBC Sport at the Etihad Stadium

Crystal Palace have now led in four of their last five games.

They didn't win any of the previous three.

It is going to be hard work to get to full-time ahead in this one but Patrick Vieira's men are defending quite well so far - and being helped by some slack Manchester City passing at times.

Half-chance for Jamaal Lascelles in the box as Ciaran Clark slings in a cross. The defender can't get any power on his header under pressure, though.

Well, Graham Jones' Newcastle are not pretty. But so far they have been effective. Needs must I guess, but it's not the kind of game I'd be wanting to see if I'd parted with my hard-earned brass.

GOAL - Liverpool 2-1 Brightonpublished at 15:41 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

    Enock Mwepu (41 mins)

    What a goal!

Solly March picks out Enock Mwepu about 25 yards out and he just sweeps it first time far above Alisson's head into the back of the net.

The technique was like a cross into the box but he meant it.
