Better. Youri Tielemens exchanges passes with Jamie Vardy on the edge of the box, but the second pass - aimed to put the striker in behind the Gunners defence - is a touch heavy and claimed by Aaron Ramsdale.

    Better from City.

A nice move sees James Maddison find Timothy Castagne far right in the box, but his low ball is cut out. It's something, at least.

Audible frustration from the stands now. Leicester are going nowhere with the ball.

  4. Postpublished at 24 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Arsenal

That second Arsenal goal came from a misplaced pass from James Maddison to Jamie Vardy. Less than 30 seconds later, the ball is in Leicester's net. Ruthless.

Steve: Maybe the Utd job seems more interesting to Brendan now.

Fahad: Is Brendan Rodgers trying to get himself fired to land the Newcastle job?

Mic: I think Rodgers is bottling it just so he doesn’t have to go to Man United.

Interesting take on this horror start from Leicester.

Gabriel trots off unaccompanied. Looks like he'll be OK to carry on.

Gabriel is down. Looks like he's taken a knock to the knee.

  8. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Leicester 0-2 Arsenal

Every pass from Leicester looks awkward at the moment - scuffed, bobbling balls that need a couple of touches from the recipient to control.

They've had the rug pulled from under them here.

Two counter-attacks. Maddison's ball gets caught out and Arsenal are up at the other end of the pitch with such speed again. Smith Rowe is full of confidence, he's having a great early part of the season. It's a long way back for Leicester. Arsenal are bossing it.

All credit goes to Arsenal. They've been brilliant here for 20 minutes.

Arteta's going to be delighted with this start, both with and without the ball. They're closing Leicester down, getting after them and when they break it up, they're going forward at speed.

A shot of two Leicester fans in the crowd sums matters up. One stares at the other in shock as the other shakes his head.

    Completely deserved.

Arsenal have been on top from the very first whistle and they take a firm hold on the game. It's that man Emile Smith Rowe with the goal.

Alexandre Lacazette looks like he is going to shoot in the box but the ball gets away from him. Jonny Evans' touch isn't enough to clear and merely sets up Smith Rowe to fire in.

I'm delighted for him, he's a fabulous boy. He had a slow start to his Sheffield United career and he understands that, but he has strength of character in abundance. He'll have to have that playing for Arsenal, where he's in the spotlight. He has character and a voice and he'll need that, especially if he wants to push on with his international career.

    Leicester 0-1 Arsenal

Jonny Evans to the rescue. Arsenal charge forward through Nuno Tavares, who finds Alexandre Lacazette. His low ball is aimed towards Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but it doesn't find him thanks to Evans' interception.

Again, though, City are forced to dig in desperately.

  16. Postpublished at 16 mins

    Leicester 0-1 Arsenal

It is not clicking at all for Leicester. Youri Tielemens - usually so reliable in midfield - puts a pass designed for Timothy Castagne straight out of play.

More groans from the home fans.

The delivery is again towards Gabriel in the box but lacks pace and is headed clear.

James Maddison takes it and hits the wall. He gets a second go, but scoops a ball over the top of the gathered outfield players and straight to Aaron Ramsdale.

    A waste.

Here's something for City to go at.

They have a free-kick on the edge of the box for a foul by Ben White on Jamie Vardy.

James Maddison is one of the players over it...
