At the Spurs game, spending second half in the bar. Heartless, clueless, spineless. Dear Mr Allardyce, are you still available?

    Darren, Broxbourne

Spurs have looked so lethargic since Pochettino went. It's like that they forgot that hard work and running helps win games. So painful being a Spurs fan right now!

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Fair to say the replacement of Lucas Moura with Steven Bergwijn went down very badly with the Spurs fans. The dissent was not aimed at Bergwijn but manager Nuno Espirito Santo. Loud jeering then chants of "You Don't Know What You're Doing."

Ed: The one bit of sympathy I have for Nuno is that Son really should have scored two in the first half. But the lack of attacking intent has been there all season.

Phil: Don't see what Kane brings to the table now, no touches within 20 yards of goal is awful

  7. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 54 mins

    Spurs 0-1 Man Utd

Boos as Spurs bring on Steven Bergwijn for Lucas Moura. They don't like that sub.

"You don't know what you're doing," goes the chant.

Spurs had seven shots during the first half with none hitting the target - the most they've had in a Premier League first half without hitting the target since July 2020 v Everton.

Fred loses the ball now and Spurs break but Giovani lo Celso's pass to Son Heung-min is all wrong.

Both teams are just giving the ball away loads. The highlight was when Scott McTominay got it stuck between his legs.

Cristiano Ronaldo has the ball in the back of the net again... but he's offside. He runs onto a through ball and slams a thunderbolt into the top corner.

As he runs away to celebrate he sees the flag.

I saw Leonardo Bonucci say Juventus are a better team without Cristiano Ronaldo.

They're 2-0 down at Verona. Ninth in Serie A as things stand.

Anyone who thinks this is a poor United performance so far doesn't understand football. It's been measured, organised and professional — just what was needed after last week.

  20. 'They disallowed it for nothing'published at 18:24 British Summer Time 30 October 2021

FT: Man City 0-2 Crystal Palace

    Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to Sky Sports: “It was a tough game. We knew it from the last years with Crystal Palace here. They found a goal and after we made a good first half, we did not conceded anything but we were not precise.

"After the sending off it was more difficult. We did a good second half for 25 minutes. The goal again - they disallowed it for nothing and at the end it was more difficult.

"Playing 11 against 11 or 11 against 10 it is different but the referee took that decision. We created more than them with 10 against 11. We created enough with those circumstances.

"It is a long season. We have dropped five points here and we have to do it better."
